Quite obviously, the bible is a very human book about God, not in any sense God's dictation to humans. For fundamentalists and evangelicals, this recognition is where their faith ends, for liberal believers, where theirs begins. Virtually all internet debate between atheists and Christians is with not-yet-deconstructed fundamentalists or evangelicals. Liberal believers and secular humanists get along just fine.

This raises a thought I hadn’t considered before. We see God and all things in terms of time, but many people who have near-death and other such experiences talk about interacting with God outside of time, or indeed any of the familiar elements of what we usually call “reality.” But this is hard for the rest of us to really conceive. I wonder if the first thing we need to do to try and understand God is to be willing to set aside all things that we normally take for granted.

The bible was not very good. It's historically inaccurate including many fairy tales. It is full of horrific ideology. It's good for one thing, understanding what some people believed a long time ago.

The bible is highly scientific. Followers of modern science haven't the courage to set out and discover this. Concoctation may be a term few are familiar with. One should ask why the bible is concocted in the way it is - that being in the form of mysticism. What's mysticism? Means a level of convergence - where science and theology or metaphysics and physics are not separate but one.
Man, being an image of the cosmos or a microcosm of the macrocosm; the very cycles of the cosmos man too undergoes. Every figure(person) in the bible is an aspect of you; of man. The bible is mostly allegorical. It's also based on mythological systems of good vs evil. Some things can be taken literally or figuratively.

The Bible considered all by itself, in the tradition of _Sola Scriptura_ (to the extent that this is even possible), is indeed highly underdetermined. But put it in a rational context, as of classical monotheism, and it is rendered considerably more metaphysically directed. The encounter of Christian theology with Greek philosophy in particular was an extremely productive one, as was scholasticism. The Bible does not "determine" metaphysics, but it certainly bolsters certain forms of it.

The New and Old Testaments are not theological works. That is to say that the nature of god or the experience of god is not discussed philosophically. They are just stories about other, long dead, peoples’ interactions with “god.” So it is always a matter of faith not personal experience when today’s reader looks to the Bible for information about god. Moses converses with god but we are not there to see or hear what Moses sees or hears. Now there are philosophical stories in the Bible like Job and Ecclesiastes but that is not 2hat drives most people’s beliefs. So my best to everyone!

I have a theory that we bring consciousness to differences and differences share the reflection and we can become conscious by listening and sharing, expanding similar to the universe. I like the book of Genesis because it has the most accurate description of our origin story compared to other origin stories around the world.

The problem, that is, if you're a Christian, God didn't want it to be (cognitive scientific) light... God wanted humanity to remain in darkness by not eating from the fruit of knowledge and therefore remained unclothed running around the savannah like the rest of the primates.

Are you serious? It is not scientific at all.
The big bang wasn't light, and saying let there be light does not describe the big bang. The tree of life does not describe evolution, in any way shape or form, and Christian descriptions of it describe something completely different. The fruit of the tree of knowledge doesn't describe the scientific method. There is no understanding of these modern concepts in the bible.

Two anecdotal experiences posted by two fellow Americans and there was no middle man in both narrated story posted on YT. Two Americans asked God for guidance from their heart in whole sincerity, it was Allah who answered their call, one man came from Jewish family and other man came from U.S military family. Both men came to Islam for the miracle their experienced, true story posted on YT, unbias reports, both men started to hear Islamic call-to-prayer Azan in the middle of nowhere, both men reported same incident. Both men were former """enemies""" of Muslims. If it were NOT for the miracle, they wouldn't have bothered with Islam, both men were truly longing for God and guidance.
