    One thing about Kids that were coached by Bamboo is they end up having a unique style in their music. Elha, Juan Karlos, Zack, Sasha, etc.. They also capitalize on their strong points but they are not afraid to experiment

    She was 11 or 12 years old in this video. During her The Voice journey i think she mentioned that her parents, especially her father taught her to sing at an early age, it's not a formal training then. At 7 y.o. her father passed away and she started to help the family by selling banana que on the streets while singing/belting. Mariah Carey is her idol and her biggest music influence according to her interviews. You can see this on her performance of "Emotions" on the The Voice Kids finale. ❤

    Kids here in the Philippines mimics the tone of original singers when they sing. That's why most of them sound very mature. That's basically how they trained and have that powerful vocals. But no formal training.

    Mostly dont have voice trainings. We are just music lovers. For me, i grew up listening to it. I even remember singing to my little brother when i was 6 or 7years old. Learned to play piano by the ear too. Just by listening to the music. When i was a student, in preparation of exams i memorized the lesson easily if i put melody on it. That means i sing them and mind you i was not the only one doing it. Haha. Those random videos of Filipinos singing posted on youtube, mostly are from ordinary people without voice trainings. Just pure talent. One more thing, we love to imitate the style and do playful twist with the melody.

    Ot maybe her influences were the actual singer of the song. Filipinos try to emulate the original singer while listening to them. But later, after they got accustomed, they make it their own by including different dynamics, arrangement or their own style.

    The most skilled Filipino singers start from very humble beginnings, Elha included and are broke enough to hire a professional vocal coach. It's fair to say that at a tender age, most if not all of them at a point in their amateur careers, competed in singing contests, televised or not, which is locally the standard foundation of cultivating the gift of singing.

Elha Nympha provide food to her family at the age of 10, she sells banana cue or sweet banana on the street of Kamuning Quezon City, she joined the Voice Kids Season 2 but she never used her poverty.to win she used her talent to prove that she deserved to won. This is a perfect example what you guys talking about with Jayda. She was born for it and she did work hard to improve it too. This lady became a monster as the time goes by. You'll see her talent grew from the blind audition of TVK to whatever she is now. And thanks to you guys, I got to know that she got a new single. Which I really really like to play when I'm doing my chores. It's a great "feel good" song.

    • @leticiachiok8057
      @leticiachiok8057 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree to both of you...Elha Nympha has a natural gift since at a much younger age, she is growing up developing her talents. And once she joined (TKV) The Kids Voice contest in 2015, her coach Bamboo mentored her and she won the Grand Finals. Over the years, she honed these talents and hope she will be sponsored and be more exposed to wider audience, including internationally. What a great talent this young artist has! More power to her!

    Karaoke at home is the basic training of most filipinos because going to a special school like piano, guitar and voice lessons are only for rich and can afford.

  • @celestemc46
    @celestemc46 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    A lot of factors play into what we see and hear in these amazing Filipino singers. Well, of course, one, you must have a gift. That is given. But there's also the environment. People in the Philippines just sing, regardless of their age. It's part of a gathering and celebration. It's how you conquer boredom (I hear security guards humming or singing while opening doors for clients). Then there are opportunities to enhance your talent through competition, not really getting formal training (they don' have money to pay for that). So parents will "drag" their happy kids from one singing competition to another. Then there's a proliferation of karaoke. Yup, on special occasions, it is common for people to rent a machine and sing their hearts out (to the annoyance of neighbours) from morning to midnight. then here is the greatest pull, I think... The idea that their talent can get their family out of poverty or better their family's life. That is a big part of it. If you watch the famous singing competitions on tv, it is common for kids to say, their dream is to give their family a better life if they make it in this business. Maybe to a few, it's the glamour and fame, but mostly, it's this dream. So from an early age, they watch great singers perform and they mimic them. That's their training :). By the way, not all Filipinos can sing, but we enjoy singing no matter how tone dear or out of tune we are. It's part of life. I love your reactions, by the way. I enjoy your comments and genuine appreciation for singers...and of your your knowledge of music. Keep reacting please! Stay safe guys!

      If I remember right, she jumped from 3rd to 1st with that performance and is what got her invited onto this show. They should see the interview portion with Steve.

    This performance was made after she won The Voice Kids. Better check her The Voice Kids journey. She was just singing while selling "banana queue" in the street so no voice training at all.

    this may have been performed after she won The Voice Kids with Bamboo as her coach. so there would have been some sort of training by then

    Only coach bamboo turned his chair for her in the voice audition..if my memoru serves me right..it was her second try in the voice.the first time she was eliminated before the phase to go and sing in the voice stage and meet the judges

    Waleska, up until this time you still find it unbelievable on Filipino kids amazing talents? You already witnessed a number of them. In fact, the TH-cam videos you see was just a tip of the iceberg.

    miss Elha Nympha learns to sing while vending their cooked products! Even some of their customers even tease her to sing before buying her goods (because they knows that she can sing!)... No buying, if no singing...

    Fact: In the Philippines, we learned so much by only listening and watching performances of great artists. Then we try to emulate those until we master it on our own. Children are great learners, That's why Filipino Kids are talented. You will be amazed of how mindblowing as you said Filipino kids are where in fact they did not have any formal trainings. I Believe it's a Gift.
    P.s in the Philippines we are not amazed anymore of Filipino Kids performing hardest songs, we are just used to it🤣😊
