The plot concerns a young man who aspires to become an artist while living in a dystopian future/past New York City. After a series of work and romantic misadventures he ends up on a tourist bus to the moon where he falls in love while trying to avoid the pitfalls of the lunar tourist traps and their vicious enforcer (Bill Murray).
