If only they had not given up in ‘92 they would have found the perfect niche for their groove in the Brit-Pop era & now be viewed as one of the influential groups who spearheaded it. If they had kept it together for one more album it’s release would have occurred just as Brit-Pop took off & they would have fitted in so perfectly. It’s so sad that RCA sucked the life out of them like vampires. The two reunion albums are perfect, can’t wait for the next.
i Couldn't agree more with everything you said, Superb Band stopped way too soon and 17 years gap until they reformed and even then the sad death of Steve Dullaghan triggered them reforming. They have been brilliant ever since, The Primitives are Top Drawer Coventry's finest.
Note that they've been together on "round 2" longer than they were originally. Their playlist is a bit more eclectic, they put on a great show (even if there's no longer a mosh pit or stage diving), and the audiences are all still in
Primitives have more great songs than 95% of bands that have ever existed.

Killed by our execrable music press
IIRC The Prims opened the 2017 Echoplex show with this song. It had a hard edge on it live and was a great opening number.
