I just saw a clip that an hour before the game he learned his grandmother died and had not told anyone. You can see the emotion in his eyes and voice. He was surrounded by family in that locker room to help him get through it. Great man.
Peterson kinda reminds me of Duncan when he just spoke right now in his demeanor. Great save by him and game by Quintana..and of course mr Alonzo. Go Mets!

That PETE ALONSO HR will get him going ! Thats the piece that was missing. He struggled at the plate for awhile but very clutch when we needed. If Pete starts hitting bombs with wll these pieces we will make it to the world series ! Remember this comment 😊
The only thing that was missing from Alonso was his inner anxiety of what will happen after the season for him...this game changed everything for him and you will see a monster during the remainder of the playoffs. Now I can see why the Sports Book in the Rio Vegas had the Met's and Tigers in the World Series.
What exactly are they celebrating? It’s a first round win. No other sport does this. It’s embarrassing spraying champagne everywhere after winning two playoff games.
