The most "ghetto" part of this vid is your dirty windshield...

@@MrMattMohler I think it was this comment. But paso is pretty ghetto and dry and dusty which explains the win shield and your attitude.

The Oak Park section (the first part of the video) was really bad when I lived in Paso in the in the 1970 to the 1990's. It was public housing that started as officer housing for the near by (10+ miles) Camp Roberts. Built real cheaply in the 1940's and expected to last only 10 to 20 years. Crime was rampant and the cops did not roll in unless they were 2 or 3 deep. Started tearing them down and rebuilding the area in the 2010's. Still the "lower" income area of town. There area some good little 50's era housing in this area, as shown in the last part of the segment (before 5:55) However, you go less than 1/2 mile away, you are running to $1M+ homes and properties.
Starting at 5:55, the area is Sherwood Park, not Barney Shawartz Park. First part (up to 7:49) was build on an old WW II airfield in the 50's. It is not uncommon to dig down a few feet and hit concrete.

Wow you really know the area. Love the town but im thrown off by the recent growth and why these new complex are considered ghetto.

My homeboy J lived by the old airstrip that is across the street from the vanilla factory. Now we’re over here in Texas man I miss Cali

@@dank3823 yea brother it’s not so much the complexes that are considered ghetto it’s the neighborhoods that were established there before they were put up. In Oakpark you have OAkpark who are a clique from Pasó 13 . There’s a lot of activity that goes on in that hood it’s historic

I was born and raised in Paso Robles (twin cities hospital). Oak park was the worst ghetto there. I lived right outside of it on 35th and Spring. I still remember my old address 3531 n spring st apt A. There was another apartment project right behind Georgia Brown elementary and also right by Sherwood park. I left in the mid to late 90's and moved to phoenix where I still am today. I still have family there. It used to get wild there because California is still California. I do miss home though and can't wait to go back and see how it's changed since the last time I was there in 2001.

How funny, I grew up in Paso back in the 80-90s and I remember oak park being ghetto but it was torn down a rebuild and this looks much nicer. We also moved to Phoenix but my family still lives in Paso. Even the “bad” parts of Paso look better than some nice parts of Phoenix (compare Maryville to Oak Park, big difference)

The apartments near the beginning of the video are for people with a low income. Also there has been like two murders near by. I think it was from people getting hunted down by criminals.

Doesn't seem too "ghettoy" to me. Just lower income area. Though I still would not want to live in that area, but take a drive through the L.A. area or parts of the I.E., there you will see real ghettos.
