Hacken Lee is from Hong Kong and Zhou Shen is from China. In Hong Kong which where I come from, we speak Cantonese and in China, they speak Mandarin. The reason I tell you that is because Cantonese is not the mother tongue for Zhou Shen and they sing this song in Cantonese. Mandarin has 5 tones but Cantonese has 9 tones. So Cantonese is the most different language to learn but Zhou Shen sings it perfectly and his pronunciation in Cantonese is very good. Zhou Shen can sing at least over 12 different languages which included Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Russian, Ukraine, Polish, Japanese, Hindi, French, Italian, Thai, Spanish etc........ Thank you again for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance.

This song is called "富士山下" (Under Mount Fuji), which is Cantonese version. Another version is Mandarin, called "愛情轉移" (Love Transfer). They sang the Cantonese version, so the title is actually wrong.
The show deliberately used the Mandarin version name, b/c the performance was in December which was the same month as the Nanjing Massacre. So the show didn’t want to use the cantonese version name.

If you bring up Our Song 2019 ep1 and scroll through to 47min you can see how they got pared up and their first song that they dad to sing with out knowing who they are singing with. Chinese stages are so big and that's one of the reason they ware the ear buds and if you look at Zhou Shen when he is waiting for the other singer to sing he is holding his ear piece and really listening and once Hacken Lee started singing you can see on his face that he knew who it was. Zhou Shen learnt to sing in Cantonese on this show. Zhou Shen and Hacken Lee won it the first year.
His name can be pronounced as Zou Shern. He does not speak English or Cantonese but he could sing them really well. He speaks Ukrainian and Russian bcoz he studied in Ukraine and took his falsetto lessons with a famous music professor there. He loves music since young. His parents sent him to Ukraine to study dentistry but his 1st love is always music. During his free time, he took singing lessons there. He begged one very. good professor to take him on as his student but was refused several times. He never gave up and went again and again and again . Finally his persistence impressed the professor so much that he relented. ZS graduated from Ukraine’s Lviv Conservatory of Music (founded by Mozarts son). Unfortunately that professor passed away a few years ago without telling ZS of his illness. Subsequently ZS flew there to pay his respects to his music professor by placing a wreath at his grave site. ZS is a shy, humble & funny person. He joined the Voice-like competition at age 21 but was eliminated by a female judge called NA Ying whom I greatly detest for her denigration of another prolific & excellent singer/composer (wrote & composed1500 songs) named Dao Lang aka Sharp Wolf (whose songs are wildly popular throughout China.) ZS is now 29 but still looks like a high school kid. So glad he’s wildly successful. He’s now given the recognition he truly deserves. I believe ZS has got a photographic ear and memory.
