Crazy how two guys that had 2 gruesome and what looked like career ruining ankle injuries are the only ones left from their draft class
Was thinking the same thing
We nearly watched their careers end in real time, and they’re the only ones still around. Crazy shit, man
ankle?nah vro it was their entire leg💀
Hmm true.
How is snapping your leg a ankle injury
Outside of the obvious irony that PG and Hayward have had horrible injuries than can end careers and lasted longer than anyone else, it’s also crazy to think back on Boogie and Wall being among the best players in the league and injuries derailing them. That’s the theme for most of the best players from this class unfortunately
Yeah and Paul George and Gordon Hayward still struggle with injuries, but have lasted longer than the other draft class picks
Shows you how good they actually are
@@michaelpaullang4401washed up Gordon Hayward ain’t that good 🤣
@@DonyeWhite nah gordon worst than aint that good. and im not a hater either i used to be a hayward fan
@@DonyeWhiteso 14.7ppg isn’t good?
@@DonyeWhiteHayward shoots 39.1% from 3
Death of 2010 class: Bad Knees
Death of 2019 class: Baddies
Calling hassan Whiteside a defensive liability sounds so weird even though it's true💀
Never seen a pump fake he ain’t fall for
Not only did injuries happend to John wall but he was dealing with a death in his family and was battling depression. I’ll always defend John wall , one of the most underrated guys this league has seen
Sucks that he straight ass now he don’t got that same drive in him anymore and fucking Beal of all people has the highest contract in the nba
dude was an absolute MONSTER and a leader on the court. I became a wiz fan cause of the way Wall would dominate when they needed him most.
Loved watching Wall. Dude was so exciting to watch
Do you think he was better then Kyrie or Rose?
@@wildwoody1112 I think he and DRose were both amazing athletes with different styles.. that ones a tougher one to judge. I thought he had something Kyrie didn't which was the tenacity and passion to play in a way that involved his whole team and actually even make them look way better than they were. Look at Gortat for example.
Boogies stats were absolutely insane, he was just stuck in a super shitty situation followed by HORRIBLE injuries. Look at the amazing stuff he did off the court, he's a great guy. Truly hope be can make a return.
Boogie aint make it any better with his attitude. He could have been the best center in the league. He was basically jokic before jokic.
@@MIGGYME1 nah man I gotta disagree entirely. Boogie's attitude was warranted given how horrible the front office was doing him for that long. Of course you'd get pissed if you had to carry the whole load only to be seen as a bust (achievement wise) by majority of fans.
@@MIGGYME1don’t even play the same
@@Moneyteam2324 actually they did. Tell me u didnt watch boogie play
He got up to like 36% from 3 years before Embiid was doing it. But he also was leading the league in turnover before tearing his Achilles in N.O., but a lot of that was really nitwit coaching. You have Rajon Rondo leading the league in APG, yet regularly run plays with Cousins initiating the offense from the top of the key, turning it over at an insane rate. How damn stupid can you be as a head coach?
I loved avery bradley when he played for the celtics even though he never really got to an all star level. Bradley did not have the size or explosiveness to be a real threat offensively as a 2 guard and he was never really a point guard. But I never questioned his effort, especially defensively, and he got a little bit better each year. He didnt back down when guarding guys who were usually taller and bigger than him. Seemed like he always played hard and took pride in his role on the team
There's been plenty of guys Bradley's size who were 'real threats' offensively. He was just not a pure 2 or 1. But he was a great defender who became a pretty decent perimeter shooter.
John wall made other players better! Made Marcin Gortat look like a solid Center, and helped Otto Porter Jr get a bag that ruined the wizards!
I remember this is one of my favorite draft classes and there was a time the draft’s top talent were just absolutely the most entertaining in the league
Anybody notice how the Pleacans have many of this draft class on their roster. Man, the Pelicans loved the 2010 draft class.
Wall and Boogie could make a comeback tho , I wanna see them on the same team
I love this channel a lot. Do you guys have a patreon so I can support. This channel is a gem.
Thanks!
No Patreon yet maybe one day
Insane how uneventful things went for this draft class. Nonetheless, Masterpiece content bro!
Thanks man
The fact there’s only 2 players left from the draft class is crazy and years prior have more. Great video
If you looked at this draft class back in 2014 it really looked like it would be an all time draft class with extreme talent
Sheesh I remember this draft class when they was still in HS. This is the beginning of the hoop mix tape era. Time flies
Dont forget Hayward and George both had gruesome injury and still playing in thr NBA to date. Although not the same but always glad to see them still playing in the NBA
I remember Boogie in his King Days. Every night he put up 30+PTS and 10+ Rebounds. Monster!--- Injuries derailed him.
I always loved this drraft class. It was packed with some outstanding talents. Just horrible how some of their careers ended.
Aminu was so underrated. Wished my mavs kept him
2010 draft injury derailed year.
Whiteside was a good, motivated player … until he got paid.
Man I'm getting old lol these picks seem like it was just yesterday.
I also notice if the player received a massive contract, there is a big chance that the player will received an season ending injuries.
Pg13 just goated
And the only reason Hayward is still in the league is his contract
Avery bradley and Cousins got the ring from 2020 Lakers championship right ?
This draft class was the victim of the 3 point revolution. The game changed from 2010 to 2020 and that's why guys like Greg Monroe and Evan Turner flopped.
2k11 was my first NBA 2k game i played
And i remember this class specifically because they were really a problem when making a MyPlayer
It sucks so much to see this draft class just be gone in the NBA
Wall did amazing but had injuries plague him, same for Cousins
Animu and Bradley just couldnt make the cut somehow
Sanders was a beast but he got derailed cuz of himself
Hayward and Goerge is still here but now they considered as semi stars and overrated to most people
😢😢😢
My first one too, that music playlist was fire
Eric Bledsoe was drafted by the Thunder*. He got traded to the clippers right after
Had Whiteside been drafted at the end of the 1st by OKC or by the Heat his career would have been much different
Bruh, why everyone suddenly talking about 2010 draft class? Slow day?
Ikr smh 😂😂😂
I had no idea they’re the only 2 left that is wild. So many of these guys had trouble with injuries. I still think Wall can get back in the league tho.
Cousins would still be in the league if he didn't accept what was probably a pretty fat paycheck to go play in Puerto Rico. He'd probably have a real ring as well with the Nuggets since Mike Malone loves him some Boogie.
Really good undrafted year tho.. Boban, Linsanity, Lance Thomas, Ish Smith, who just won a ring.
Pg and boogie best and most accomplished careers to me
well duh, there isn't much to compare with in their draft class
Lance playing against LeBron wen he was in Miami that got him his biggest check in his career from hornets
I feel like Lance could still play coaches just don't like his play style i do though he is a crazy x factor if he is on you got a great chance of winning 💯🏀
2 undrafted, honorable mentions from this class would have to be Jeremy Lin (9 years), and Ish Smith (still active)
not anymore
i have fond memories of these guys destroying my 38ovr in 2k11 draft combine. Sad to see only 2 guys left and only 1 is elite.
John wall was pretty good so was Demarcus cousins
1 word: injury. So much potential HOF talent, but injury derailed them.
The fact I remember like it was yesterday playing 2k11 mycareer and before getting drafted you had to run a scrimmage against John wall and I think Bradley Beal, JOHN WALL WAS UNSTOPPABLE 😂
Hate to bust your bubble but bradley beal wasn’t drafted until 2012
as a heat fan, the Whiteside comment is incorrect. He was not unhappy being traded at that time and even gets memed on for one of his first videos with the new team while slight dissing the heat, "wE gOt sHoOtErS"
I really did hope cousins to have a hall of fame career
Bro you have 10K subscribers!.
Gotta get more videos out.
Yes sir!
Boogies stint with lakers so short didn't mention it. Lmao. Did Avery get ring for no show to bubble?
Think he did
I will never forget 2k my player mode when starting the game, you had to play against these players and the scouting report would say that you are playing against the two headed dragon of wesley johnson and derrick favors
"team injury" in effect
You’re telling was only in his 3rd year when he was giving miami problems in the playoff
Lance Stephenson is my favorite player. He should still be on the pacers
Was this also the lockout year?
The class lacked in durability not talent
gilbert arenas had a bigger impact on the wizards than wall
Boogie and wall would still be starters if it wasn’t for injuries. Watching them at Kentucky was an honor
Trailblazers: where middling talent goes to die.
John wall was sat out for the season with Rockets due to them wanting to deal with the young players Wall was not injured and he wanted to play
Some of these players should still be in the league tho
It's crazy how only Avery Bradley won a titles out of the whole draft class
Cousins just won one
@@elliott.wootton cousins never won a title
what’s up with all these mfs getting traded to the pelicans 😭
2010 class peaked. Lol how weird that paul george and gordon hayward had broken legs only two of them are left.
Great video i wonder what happened to Hassan Whiteside
went to play overseas like many other players do once their services arent needed anymore
@@macabree5856 yeah but he drop off the face of the map I didn't hear nothing from him 😂. Some players I see when they go overseas I haven't seen him since he played on the Heat
@@mexia23 I have to agree. Completely disappeared. One year he was in the NBA playoffs and then "poof". Justcompletely forgotten. Not even mentioned on ESPN or media or social media etc nothing
Avery “has a receding hairline since 2010” Bradley
Lance Make Em’ Dance was fun to watch.
They gave 12 year old me hell in the draft combine in 2k11
I think cousins could make a comeback I’m mad the kings ain’t sign him
I don’t know if too fast or we are just old now
Tragic???? They made millions of dollars.
"most tragic draft class" yet literally half of the class spent over a decade in the league and you were able to make a 10+ minute long vid talking about just the above average players that lasted a decade. Every body you mentioned in this video, regardless of them leaving the NBA in their early 30s, had better careers then like 90% of all the players in the history of the NBA. This class was the opposite of tragic, even the crazy injuries didn't really affect the careers of players much, Gordon has been on 30 mil a year since his injury and PG became an infinitely better player post leg explosion.
All that said, still a great video. That title is atrocious though
Gotta give it to KD. Kobe, Boogie, Patrick, Wall and a few others had Achilles injuries. They were never the same after that. KD comes back a year later and is nearly as good as he ever was. Rare. Stretch, stretch, stretch. Painful but, gotta do it.
Kobe tore his came back nd averaged 23,5,5
@jasirthomas28 yea, but you could tell he was not the same player.
So in summary most of the best prospects either got injured too much or just turned out to be bang average to the point where there is nothing for any org to warrant keeping them. Or they where just mid as fuck.
Cousins caught the karma bug. Signing with the Warriors for chump change tryna get a ring. Went downhill ever since
Bradley's ankle injury in half speed looks like it fuckin hurt
Clickbait title 😂😂😂 all of these guys had successful careers. If you play 10 + years, you're not a bust dawg.
Another banger
2000 is even a worse draft
Considered one of worst drafts in NBA history. If it wasn't for some several players who "barely" made all star appearances but other notable fats, would've been considered worst of all time
rule changes.
And Mark Aguirre still isn't in the Hall, though many lesser players are in.
If you watched some of these players in college you could see this coming
Aminu was so underrated. Wished my mavs kept him. Pg and boo
I just hope that wall makes a miraculous comeback
I’d hate to be the guy thinking Al Farouq Aminu is a bust.
AYE THIS IS BS I KNOW GOD DAMN WELL MOST OF THESE PLAYERS WERE CHAMPIONSHIP READY AND SHOULD’VE NEVER GOTTEN INJURED
Derek Favors had something on the Jazz owner. Idk why they were so loyal him. A guy on his level should’ve been out the league. More talented guys got ousted.
Bro WTF is that name... SS???? Yall don't have history classes in the United States??
Not every one can be a LeBron or Vince C. On longevity.
I would love watching Bledsoe play. Dude was rigid asf and found his way to the rim. I'm from Philly that's how the PGs play here
I know. He plays overseas but man he was built different compared to other point guards. His shooting was just a massive liability. I'm from Tri state area too and yeah Point guards are built like lean running backs
Injuries ruined some good careers in this draft class
I think ur forgetting another Stephenson fact, he played better in Indiana like way better
BESIDE INJURIES ITS NO DIFFERENCE FROM ANYTHING ELSE NBA PLAYERS COMES & GO JUST LIKE ANYBODY ELSE U R SETTING UP HER TALKING LIKE ONCE U MAKE IT AS A PRO ATHELETE U R THEIR 2 STAY THAT IS NOT THE CASE
Probably the most truthful and realistic approach to this subject, Much respect to your comment but next time, don't purposedly press all caps to write. Write normal. Auto flagged as loserish and attention seeking. But yeah, i hate videos like these. It can causes viewerws especially ignorant or younger people to think delusionary towards the reality of NBA employment. NBa players come and goes and the average career is lie 5-7 years honestly. Besdies injuries, no injuries.
I miss Avery Bradley 😢
MF Hassam Whiteside I always called him "Sleepside"
Wall is literally still active in the league….
yeah you're right but he's currently a Free Agent but yeah you make a valid point. He was just on the Clippers laqst season
Whiteside should still be in the league
What about John wall ?
Lance going to come back, he still got juice
John wall and cousins is from 2009 draft your video makes no sense
Ish Smith and Boban?
Lesson: Don’t get traded to the clippers
