@@DavidsGarage1972 I have no idea what they use. But carbon fiber is a high end material usually used in sports cars and bikes. Seems unnecessary for a boot shank.
Hey! I appreciate the review. I think I like the Saddle Tanned Diesel's more with the leather sole becuse it has a contrasting welt. I own 9 pairs of GS. first was the crimson cxl Ottawa's, 2 was the Dune Diesel's, 3rd was the Black cxl Diesel's, 4th was the black cxl Ottawa's, 5th was the midnight suede Ottawa's, 6th was the bourbon suede Ottawa's, 7th was the loden suede Diesel's, 8th was the Dark olive cxl Edwards with the lugged sole like yours, 9 is the black cxl BB with the wedged soles. I bought all these in a span of less of less than 2yrs. The 10th one I just ordered was the Maduro shell Diesels but they won't be here for 16-20 weeks. I started a GS subresddit a couple years ago and we have over 3050 active members. I invite you to join and share your GS videos if you're up for it. You don't have to but I think people would really benefit from your videos. I also have a pair of 1000milers x van winkle collab with the wedged soles that I don't wear and I didn't return because they were $195 shipped brand new and 2 pairs of Thursday Loggers and Cavs.
Wow! Nice collection! Yeah I'll have checkout the subreddit. I don't post much on reddit. I am a sucker for natural chromexcel so I may get the dune diesels or brass boot eventually. I too like the saddle tan with leather soles, I just work outside and I would want a rubber sole so I would be able to possibly wear them for work and the lug sole is more ideal for walking on uneven terrain.
Beautiful pair! I noticed the exposed stitching near your welt and the beginning of the heal counter on your left boot, curious if you noticed that on any of your other Truman boots? I've had it on my last 2 pairs and I noticed a glimmer of one of the heel nails in my most recent. According to Truman this is not a structural issue and the boot will settle and it will go away but have heard other opinions disagreeing. I dont mind it aesthetically but it seems to be a common occurrence with their boots.
Wow, I only noticed after you pointed it out. Good eye. I haven't noticed it on my other trumans. I will keep an eye on it as i break these in. On my coyote roughouts the vamp lining was really messed up over the instep. It felt like there was a thick shoelace going across the top of my instep and putting pressure on it. The person who put the lining on surely saw how jacked up it was.
@ Sorry haha...my last 2 pairs the inside lining folds over on the side of my foot if i dont put them on carefully and is pretty irritating. Maybe i shouldn't be getting D's but if the lining doesnt fold over they feel perfect so tough to tell.
Pretty easy break in compared to my natural cypress and coyote roughouts. Very stiff at first, also this boot is fully lined so that makes the leather feel thicker. But the rambler is feeling comfy after only a couple days wear.

Do you mean fiberglass shank? Carbon fiber would be super fancy.
Yes if that's what it is then I'm mistaken

@@EDHBlvd No you're right. I just double checked and when Rose Anvil cut a pair he said it was fiberglass, I misspoke
@@DavidsGarage1972 would be pretty trick to use carbon fiber though. Maybe some exotic Italian “sports boot” haha.
Yeah that would be interesting to see lol

that leather is gorgeous
I agree
So disappointed that i missed out on this boot in the sale, they look amazing
Awesome. I would but no wide width on the 20 last. 😔
That's a shame they don't offer that yet, hopefully with all the business they are doing now they'll invest in more lasts for wider sizes.
Can we get these with a raised storm welt? The older stone ramblers have a storm welt.
That would be interesting!

These came out great. Thanks for showing them.
Ya what a great last and nice leather. Truman’s 20 Last builds are chef’s kiss. 👌🏻
Stone on 20 is unique
That leather is very nice. What is your experience of using the boot. When walking it bends easily or is very hard. How long did it take you to adapt?

Good looking boot! Seems weird that it's not gusseted though.
My other boots on the 20 last are also not gusseted so it may be standard on the 20 last
I have 20 last Moc Toe with Brtish Tan Grizzly. They are at least gusseted up to 5th eyelet. That's strange.
Ret Kya her😮❤
Almost had these! They got stolen from my door. What a world we live in. Enjoy your boots and i will live through you sir!
Sorry man that sucks
Nooo! That sucks. I hope that person who stole them can't fit in them
Bastards! Ruining the holidays.
Where do you live?

I thought Truman use steel shanks
I did too. I'm just going off what I saw when rose anvil cut a pair in half
