What are the differences in sound between the microbass 3 and 2 with the clean channel? From the very few information that I was able to find it seems that the previous model sounds warmer... It would be very nice to see a direct comparison between the two...

Can you use this pedal for 2 basses, by plugging 2nd bass into drive input, and drive footswitch to toggle between bass 1 and 2? I'm not interested in distortion at all on either bass. Other features look great.
According to the manual, you can do that.
I need a bass preamp/DI to go directly in the mixer during live gigs, so I think it should have cab sim. Which one do you recommend? Are there some cheap options?

1. SCR DI by Ampeg
2. PocketAmp Bass by Palmer
3. MicroBass 2 by EBS
The EBS Pedal is by far the best.
The price is about €199 and it is so worth it! You can use it everywhere you want with a 9V batterie. 😉

I'm a recovering drum addict, therefore sorta new to electric bass guitar... I have maybe an obvious question, as I'm considering purchasing a pedal , so my question, can this pedal function as y split pedal as to run two amps? So I have two bass amps and want to send the output to both, can I use the Balanced out simultaneously with the left side output?

What about Noise gate ?
Could be the perfect all-in-one solution if you are no friend of the Helix family. Just a pity there is no adjustable HPF knob that is really of help going straight to the board.

There's no tube emulator, a compressor is in it's place.

Great vid. I'm never sure how i'm supposed to eq the signal while recording. My approach to eq is based on my small mix experience. When i dial a tone i like most of the time it doesn't fit in the mix. Any tips, golden rules or etc ? thx

I'm not a pedalboard guy as I prefer a simple setup. Right now I have a Darkglass B7K Ultra and an MXR Dyna Compressor.
Will the compressor of the Microbass 3 be a replacement for a dedicated compressor pedal? If so, this would be great as I would definitely need only one pedal that has everything. A tuner is even a plus.
I guess that depends on how you’re using your compressor. Try it out if you can, it might just best the right comp for you - or not
I had the first one. Good pedal BUT You did not have a master volume for Both channels, so the drive was louder then the clean channel. I do not see a change in this pedal??? I also dont see the tubesim wich was amazing
This one has a master volume for the whole thing, but the Drive channel has a Blend and its own Level control as well.

Wait what the hell? The Mute switch doesn’t automatically turn the tuner on? EDIT: I just read the manual and it says the Mute switch *does* turn the tuner on, no mention of hitting both footswitches at once. Rant about bass preamps being really great except one stupid design decision rescinded.
What is the best sounding bass preamp on the market? Can you do a comparison video of several preamps??
That depends mostly on what you’re looking for. And your budget. The best bass preamps aren’t even bass preamps, at least in my opinion

Siento que debería usarse bajos de todas las gamas y no sólo gama alta para hacer las demostraciones ya que muchos bajod de gama alta traen su propio preamplificador y es más caro y de mejor calidad que el propio pedal.
How would this pedal stack up next to a NUX MBP-5?
Wouldn't be better to try Peals, Preamps, etc... with normal basses like 4 Strings P, J or PJ Basses. Thank you
Loved it, until I heard the drive tones. Yuck. Still would consider just for the cleans though! Tuner is a cool addition as well
You would need an IR loaded for direct to DAW, or a real amp head on overdrive behind it to get great sounding overdriven tones. It's just a preamp.

I don't understand the bass beanie fashion... Well, pedals, pedals, pedals, cables, cables, cables, knobs, knobs, knobs and more knobs... The more you have pedals, the more you have cables, the more you have knobs, the more you are spending your time trying to find "the so called perfect tone of god", the less you are playing bass. Politics on my own for years and years and years = STTA, means Straight To The Amp and let the fingers do the magic. But I am using a dBx 160A and the Avalon U5 in my own 19" rack, that's true.

Why have the swearing in the video? I can ignore it, but it makes it difficult to watch with my musical kiddos with me. :-/
Because, finally someone actually listened to what bass players really need, come on, it took years to understand that drive and clean output lines needed separated xlr sockets, besides, it has a very simple but yet very effective compressor, and an in-built tuner, you'll probably never need much more than this...

@@fretlesssix9075 Right, I think you misunderstood my explanation , it was related to the unwinding sensation of an achievement, such as "FINALLY, FUCK YEAH !" I think that in some circumstances, you really need to curse something at random, or at least, that's what I did, btw, as for your kids, I can understand, (even though I'm not a father) but I'm pretty sure they will learn them anyways. I hope you were not watching this demo on some crappy laptop speakers, at least, whateaver they might be able to hear, make sure they will get it on some nearfield hi-end studio monitors ;)

The fact is if you play well, you need nothing but a decent bass.
I would not buy this box of 💩 all you need is a ampeg svt cl mic up your cabinet in about 20 minutes you got real magic and no 💩 box on the market can reproduce that. you don't need a 📦 all you need is a epic amp and the classic svt is it
There's a difference between a preamp pedal and an 80% more expensive, 36kg tube head. Most of us got that already.
Yes, my college dorm roommates LOVE IT when I put a 36kg tube amp head and an 8x10" cabinet in there and crank it up. Why would I want to have a small little pedal instead of that? Makes no sense, I agree with you!
