    It's 10:04 when you jump on Jerome's wheel, you knock on the door of 1,400 watts, and you're still above 800 when you cross the line at about 10:30. I'm sure positioning helps, but with 30-second power like that you just need to start in the right zip code.

    • @NorCalCycling
      @NorCalCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It gives me some leeway, but if I started that sprint from 500m to go I lose, if I'm 15th wheel with 200m to go I lose. Position is still critical.

    • @z400jt

      That Performance Bike is gone. A-Main Cycling purchased their website, several brands, and some inventory when PB went bankrupt. The old PB only sold Fuji and other brands owned by Fuji's parent company so don't worry, you wouldn't have been able to get anything good anyway.

      @chrisko6439 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently, it is allowed to do so in the US / in California. Also, it seems they are allowed to ignore red traffic lights when turning right... Oh man, here in Germany races don't get organized because authorities want to have thousands and thousands of Euros for switching off traffic lights on a closed course. Because, in Germany, we "cannot" ignore traffic lights on a fkn closed course. So we pretty much don't race, because we can't afford to pay the morons/authorities.

      Race and ride with faster guys and you get stronger. Also it happens to be that Jeff is very smart. He doesnt let himself get into a position where he needs to do a monster pull to finish strong. Not to mention its a training race. Guys are gonna do things they wouldn't necessarily normally do in a usac crit. This is a good time and place to try things that aren't in your wheel house. Maybe try sprinting long, or getting in a break, or attacking for the workout, etc
