Have you stayed at these off strip hotels? Which is your favorite?
I've stayed at Palms Place attached to Palms and loved it. Also while haven't stayed at Green Valley or South Point I think they are fantastic places with some wonderful people working there.
Silverton. I did a little extra review for ya below. (Then Red Rock. But I can't afford to stay there. hahaha!)
Hi Ruby! We always split our time on our trips between the M and Red Rock. I also love the dark vibe at the M. Looking forward to the brunch buffet in October. T-Bones at RR is an elegant venue for a great steak. Won my first handpay in the HL room last month! Great video.
Just stayed at Green Valley. Had the best steak at Hank's we have ever tasted. Great meal.
Funny Story. Last month we flew into Vegas and drove to Arizona for a funeral. We drove back into Vegas and we planned on staying at a motel. It wasn't very good and we ended up driving to South Point. We were only there for like 6 hours, before our flight, but it was a nice room.
100% agree with South Point! Rooms are super clean, they give you an old school coupon book that has great deals. If you are over 50, they have $4 movies. All 11 restaurants are solid with the Silverado Steakhouse, Michael's and the buffet being our favorites
I always play baccarat there, South Point always takes care of their guests. I never pay for a meal when I’m there. Free Garden Buffet all day lol
As a Vegas local - I 100% agree with your list. I am so glad I did not see Boulder Station or Arizona Charlies or any casino on Boulder Highway on your list. You seem to be fitting in perfectly already! Love ya - looking forward to your next video!
You Are 100 % Correct @socasack & Mrs Ruby Is A Gem 💎 We Both Moved Here From The Midwest +++ Vibes Always From Las Vegas
Does anyone rate Arizona Charlie's? Even the Cheapo Vegas guys in the old, old days of Vegas Internet used to refer to it as a filthy armpit, and they went off price point more than quality.
@@nathanmiller8213🤣🤣 Wow
Was at Red Rock in November. No more strip and no more downtown for me. PLUS, I didn't hear one person yell, "That's Vegas baby!"
One of those resorts you don’t have to leave, plus it’s in a quiet and nice area with hiking near a state park.
Great list. I'll give a shout out to The Orleans as a fun, budget friendly hotel off the strip. Bowling alley, concert hall, movie theater, etc. and it's only about a mile and a half from the strip.
Yes yes and yes on The Orleans hotel. Love playing keno there!!!! Locals love the place too and always eat at Big Al's Oyster bar!!! Their seafood chowder is the BEST!!!!
Love the Orleans!
Orleans is awesome.
I will book my mom a few nights at Orleans
Yes, The Orleans is one of our favs too, nice and clean, good machines and food and very very clean rooms with a beautiful pool area
We love Tuscany Suites & Casino. It's close enough to the strip but not a zoo. The rooms are huge and you can't beat the free parking. Suncoast Hotel and Casino is another place we stay from time to time. It's a lot cheaper to gamble there than anywhere on the strip.
Sams town is my favorite off strip I always stay there after a late flight into Vegas. The atrium where reception is I really like
Red Roof Inn next to strip club, across from Virgin Hotel, no virgins or Egg Slut check in.
Sams Town is one i like also.
@@54Ripster Sam's Town videos look awesome. Fact: Sam's Town has the most slots in the Vegas Valley, few people know that. Followed by Wynn + Encore, largest casino floor space although sister properties is rigging stats. Aliante Casino is nice. on YT - I've never been.
Green Valley Ranch for me, much closer to the airport/strip. Right next to the district shopping and dining. Lots of affordable food options along St. Rose Parkway and Eastern avenue.
Could not agree more , with a beautiful pool area , great staff , lovely rooms and right next too the “ District “ shopping centre , I love Green valley too .
Have been coming to Vegas regularly for many years. With the way the strip and downtown are evolving, we rent a car, stay off strip at one of the aforementioned resorts and then make excursions to the strip and Fremont for things we want to do there. Have found that we enjoy it more when have a break from the constant high energy.
Thanks Ruby, I’ve been going to Vegas for 30 yrs and never ventured off the strip and Fremont st. Now I will
I love SouthPoint Casino. It has a nice atmosphere. There are several different places to eat. You have a great buffet, steak house, Italian, and Steak & Shake. From midnight until around 5 or 6 AM you can get a delicious steak breakfast for around 7.99.
You should do a spotlight video on your office: Rampart Casino and the JW Marriott. That’s not only my favorite place in Vegas, but maybe the whole country
Beautiful hotel!
Another fantastic video from Team Ruby...best Vegas content on YT! Red Rock is definitely a favorite for me.
Just to mention that for me one of the best casinos off the Strip is the JW Marriot Rampart located in Summerlin. Congratulations on your channel I always watch it
I stayed at Red Rock when they 1st opened in 2006...and it looks exactly like it did back then..(except the took fhe TV out of the bathroom infront of the tub) And I will tell you this...they had THE MOST COMFORTABLE beds I've ever slept in. Not sure how they are now...but they were fantastic.
love all your videos! your videos are informative and professionally done
Thanks for this video, perfect timing as I’m looking at making a trip to Vegas and do not want to stay on the strip. Will definitely have to check out the hotel videos you mentioned as it looks like some nice options to choose from.
I love the South Point and have stayed there a number of times. I have always found the personal friendly and very attentive to the needs of the guest.
Dude this is maybe your best video as far as useable content goes. Great reviews and recommendations. Great work here Ruby!
Great content. Love all of the hotels mentioned. I really love red rock because its got so much to do inside and out. I love the shops in summerlin and love going to red rock canyon. It is just beautiful
Ty for sharing. All awesome selections. ❤
Great video and information. You really have me thinking about these off-strip properties.
Thank you Ruby for another great video as always! I definitely wouldn't want to add another Station Casinos to the list, but Palace Station is another great option as well especially their famous Oyster Bar.
Hey Ruby! Great looking places! Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks to Great places. You have great taste. I love watching your videos.❤
These are some great alternatives! Thanks, Travel Ruby! This is awesome! Thumbs-up!
Thank you all the information on these hotels and resorts.
Just stayed at red rock and loved it so much. Love all your vids. Gives me so many great ideas.
GREAT Video... Saw you at Sun Coast awhile back when we filming a video!!
😊😊😊great video and great list. Southpoint is my favorite since I am now a local after living here for almost 4 years.
Great buffet. Geat coffee shop, the Coronado Cafe.
Very nice, it was cool to see MResort as it is my favorite off strip. Thanks Ruby!
Thanks for another great video! I recently visited Green Valley Ranch to gamble while staying at Park MGM and fell in love with that property - booked a stay at GVR this summer and can't wait to enjoy the spa and pool. Look forward to your next video.
👍 GVR is great! Better table limits than the strip and great comps, great food and not to mention that once you get off strip and out into the valley prices on everything from restaurants to shopping to activities are just like anywhere else in America. Being on the strip is paying double or more for everything plus dealing with the crowds and the traffic
Awesome video Ruby. I've been meaning to check out the Durango Station, but you definitely have me thinking about Palms or GVR.
My fiancée and I have stayed at Red Rock five times in the past year and a half...all completely for free, thanks to STN's killer comps. By far our fav property in ALL of Las Vegas!
Gotta throw in here too that yours is my #1 viewed tourism/travel YT channel!
Have stayed at Silverton, South Point and Red Rock. All were exceptional but Red Rock gets my vote every time. Fantastic rooms. I'll get around to staying at GVR soon. Us Aussies love Vegas.
great video as always.
After seeing your video on Red Rock Resort, we decided we HAD to give it a go, which we will be doing next week. It'll be our first time staying off-Strip since the early 90s (or maybe even the late 80s!) and I can't wait! That said, all these properties look amazing!
You nailed this list Ruby!
Thanks for highlighting these off-strip hotels! Always great to discover new spots in Vegas.
Thanks for the great content, you are the best. See you at Santan Casino this weekend.
Love your videos , Ruby ! We're visiting again in October!
Ms. Ruby....I love and live 4 your videos. I recently discovered a SpaCrawl on Strip (4 Hotels/4 Spas in 10 days). Now Offstrip is my next
trip. 😊 Thanks for making it easy to choose.
Just got home after spending a few nights at South Point. I'm in a bowling tournament, and love it! Staff is wonderful and all the dining options are the best!
I love your reviews!
Great selection of hotels. I have stayed at most of them and find it so nice to avoid all of the traffic when leaving these locations.
We love Red Rock!! Absolutely the best dining options of the bunch. Awesome casino, spa, bowling lanes, pool….we love it all!
We stayed at the Motel 6 on Dean Martin Drive once and then shortly later saw it in an episode of Cops. Serves us right for showing up without any reservations on a Saturday night. We had reservations for Palms Place for the following few nights which I would recommend.
So far all my favorite
Did they leave the light on for you?😄
Love, love, love your videos.
Great video thanks hun. I will be going to las vegas in August
Another GREAT video Ruby. THANKS. We like to stay @ the Tuscany which is located just off the strip.
Brilliant video Ruby. Love off strip hotels. Love South Point & Red Rock
Great job on that list! We've stayed at all of them, and just stayed at Durango which was very nice. We still prefer the JW Marriot w/ Rampart Casino over the 5 on your list. JW Marriot is just SOOOO relaxing, and the spacious grounds are wonderful for taking walks and enjoying the surroundings. The pool area is very nice w/ a waterfall and good size, and there's running creeks throughout the property.
Rooms are huge, in need of some updates but still so well appointed. Rampart Casino @ JW Marriot is very good, not too big but still plenty of machines and tables. Best thing about the Rampart is the extra play you get over there, it seems like the overall gambling is looser than most other places. If you haven't been you need to give it a visit.
They also have a buffet that's a good value for the quality of the food.
I have stayed at The Palms. Always have a great time! Great recommendations on the other ones. I will have to try them.
I’ve spent time at SP and Red Rock but never stayed. I have at M Resort many moons ago and I swear it looks the same somehow! Great list. Stayed with my family at The Orleans quite a bit. I have good memories. I wonder how it’s doing these days.
Also, my parents live in Pahrump (off-off-off Strip, haha) But it has casinos and is a gateway for Death Valley travelers. It’d be so fun if you made a video about Pahrump. It has some charming things that might interest your audience. Thanks for another great video!
GVR is by far my favorite off-Strip property. Love the restaurants especially Hank's and Pizza Rock. Also, the $29 all-you-can-eat tacos and all-you-can-drink tequila and margaritas at Borracha on Tuesdays in GVR is awesome!
0:09 Hi Ruby, Great video. Loved all the Casinos. I have visited 4 of the 5. I have not visited the Durango. Thank you!🎉🎉
I heard the ORLEANS Hotel Casino is JUST AWESOME.!! I never been there, but many of my friends stayed there.....and loved it....!!
I think this is the best video you have ever done! Off strip is way better than anything else. Thanks!
Excellent video
I went to the Red Rock for my sister's wedding.... beautiful venue, wonderful pool, AND we were in an elevator with Kiefer Sutherland while we were in our bridesmaids dresses and he said we looked beautiful 😊
Good video nice you mentioned a few others besides the 5. like the buffets in Your videos that’s how it used to be. So glad to see the hotels off the strip are attracting people instead of screwing people
Love your videos ❤
Aloha! Durango is so much of everything I love about Vegas plus sunlight in the casino!
Great job on off strip reviews and best of all adding to us all the room cost and various buffet prices like when you tell us cost on your reviews. Thanks
Great videos Ruby! Thanks for the tips and advice. New subscriber here 😊
ty for this video
Haven’t visited the Palms, but totally agree with your list!
I vote for red rock!really great video poker important thing to me and it’s a four diamond resort could be five not sure.
I haven’t stayed at many of these, just Red Rock and the Palms but i really enjoyed Red Rock. Im not sure how it compares but i thought their spa was outstanding. Spent quite a bit of time there the week i stayed
My favorite is Green Valley Ranch. It is a beautiful property, very relaxing, and I've done very well gambling there!
Thank you Ruby! My fiancé is turning 50 in September and this gives me some great ideas!
If you have more than 2 in your party skip the hotels. Rent a short term condo or timeshare. You will have a fully stocked kitchen. You have bedrooms for more privacy. Free parking. No resort fees.
The separate bedrooms are a must when you want that afternoon nap.
Southpoint is awesome. The room is nice and their buffet is awesome 10/10.
Plan to stay at palms once a good rate shows up and the buffet is good 7/10.
Red rock and green valley are in my future list as well❤
I want to shout out Rampart/JW Marriot as well. Beautiful large property with really friendly service and low minimums
Thank you ruby finally a off strip video. Me and the Mrs are planning a trip and this definitely helps
Our favorite is GVR, absolutely stunning and wonderful rooms
WOOT! Southpoint is my fave!
I'm a Vegas newbie. I'm going next month. Decided to stay at the Virgin Curios :) x
Green Valley Ranch and Silverton are my two favorite. I'm glad you put them on your list. How about the Orleans… I'm also glad you put the English on there for honorable mentioned I agree…… I have a couple others that are on strip but they might be reasonably priced and that's main street station downtownand the Tuscany at the end
Agree with your choices in whatever order.
enjoyed😃
Had dinner recently at Summer House at Durango. Beautiful hotel and restaurant.
On boulder hwy I say Sam's town has a movie theater bingo bowling nice pool I stayed at gold coast I thought it was good has great food bingo there too
Haven’t spent a night at Southpoint but it’s a great place. The Buffett is great there
Which to choose? So many interesting choices.
South Point is bomb! When I went there there was a big bowling tournament and lanes for the guests! Bingo was bomb! The food was amazing and not gougy if that is a word😮 There is a bus going up to the strip across the street. All of the staff had a 😊 Just as you described 👍Thanks
We go every fourth of July to South Point. Absolutely love that place. You can stay at that property all weekend and not leave. I love seeing SP get the love it deserves! ❤
Yes, Station Casinos has a strong grip on the off-strip market, and with good reason. Yes, rooms at their higher end properties are a bit more, but they still offer free parking, even valet! On the strip, parking can be almost as much as the resort fee!
71 yrs young and you make me very proud and happy,🤩 Ruby
You mentioned Southpoint. You did not mention the Del Mar deli this located inside Southpoint. This is one of my favorite places to eat. It is a great walk up deli. Give it a try sometime.
Ruby it was a pleasure meeting you in Galaxy's Edge last week. Glad you got in at Oga's Cantina!!! I stayed at the LV Hilton years ago. Does that count?
You look awesome in the cabanna pool!
Ruby, would it possible to add something showing how the loyalty programmes of each compare? Great vlog as usual. Thank you
We just tried our first off strip property and loved it.
With having been to Vegas prob 10 times our last stay was at Virgin and we loved it. Pool wasn’t as good as we hoped but everything was great.
Ruby is the best!
Red Rock is epic!!! I look forward to a palms one day
After staying at GVR, we decided never to stay on the strip again. Treated our selves to dinner at Hanks after a cabana all day. We even got upgraded for a very small fee, and the room was the NICEST I had ever been in. Also, won $600 on my bday there.
I live on Cactus on the Southern Highlands side and love South Point
My brother and I have a favorite where we have stayed twice now. It's Tuscany Suites, just off strip by only a couple blocks. It's like an oasis on calm right next to the crazy. I highly recommend it for their spacious rooms and hard-working staff. We always saw maintenance people working on things like worker bees, making everything shine like new. We love their on-site cafe, Marilyn's, for breakfast; really good food at a reasonable price. They have a fully equipped fitness center with a lap pool, and their main pool is spacious and lovely.
I recommend this hotel for first-timers as well as seasoned visitors, because you can easily walk over to the strip, and easily walk back to your peaceful retreat. Check it out, Ruby!
My favorite! My sister and i stay there almost every time we visit Vegas! A secret gem!
Marilyn’s is amazing! Best meal deal and quality grinds!
YAY S.P. 😁 and the M Resort my 2 Fave places in L.V. 😄
