No need to take the mirrors off. Point the mirrors all the way down. You can use a pick tool, or even a flathead screwdriver, to get the upper tabs pushed up/down.

Yeah bro you're right, if you are familiar to remove this mirror cap, you don't have to take the mirror off. But many customers can't line up the pins very well, and they always broke the clips. The point to take the mirror is trying to make sure they can see where the clips need to align with.
Generally, we use the same way like you say to help customers change the mirror.

@@DongsaiCarStyling That's a good point; I didn't consider that. I'm sure some people line it up generally and start pounding it in, breaking tabs.

@@Matt_C_N Yeah, we sell a lot of those mirrors, and we know how customers break the tabs Lol... But at the same time, if they don't work carefully, they probably will break the mirror glass too... Hard to say, we are just trying to find the best way to let customers know how to install this.😆

Don't just use your finger brooooo... the OEM clip is very strong, find some tool to loose it!!! 😖
