  • The Kyber system is up and running! I've spent much of the past couple weeks wrapping my head around Kyber and understanding how to go about setting it up. It's quite the paradigm shift from what I'm used to, but so far I am loving it!
This was literally the first time I had powered everything on while connected to the actual drives. I hope to get him tuned in the coming days and will post more details soon!

Very cool! And I'm envious that you got it all running without a hiccup on the first go! That is great!

Another awesome build Jason. Which ESP32 board are you using? I am building Mini R2's (Baddely) using the PS3 controller option and I cannot find an ESP32 that will connect with Bluetooth. Most of the ones sold on Amazon are junk and the negative reviews are not lying.

Unfortunately, I can't answer that specific question. What you see here is the Kyber control system board that is the central brains of B2. The single board contains interface connections for SBUS RC control, Marcduinos, an output for one or two Maestro servo control boards, as well as audio output and many other connections that I am currently unfamiliar with. Kyber is an RC-based control system though, so I don't believe it has any bluetooth functionality.

@@jasonsR2D2 oh duh. That board looks just like an esp32 and i ASSumed it was. No worries, can't wait to see this Droid on the move.

Congratulations on a successful test run, I know that fear of powering everything up and just waiting for a burn out. BTW during your video all I was watching for was smoke and I am pleased to say that I did not see any

I always keep my finger on the power switch for a few seconds just in case...

Yep - although it had been set up on the bench prior there's always the possibility of missing something when reconnecting it all.
