Mine is in the mail and will be here next week. I had $300 to spend and wanted something different than my Traxxas Summit. A speedy brushless buggy seemed perfect and I didn’t see a better deal for the money than the Typhon 3s. Looks like a winner. 👍🏻
That was a crazy hard landing at 6:38. Just unboxed mine a few hours ago, then the rain started and the sun went down before I could get my batteries charged. As a pretty nooby to RC trucks I've found your videos the most straight forward and informative. Thanks. I'm going out to look for a BMX park tomorrow morning.

Looks like a really fun car. Without that center diff seems like it handles like an old school 1/10th/8th 4wd buggy, but with much more power. Looks very durable too. I'm definitely getting one after seeing this!

That 3s run was insane!! SUPER impressed! I absolutely love the Big Rock 3s and have one of these one the way! Nice diversity from the 6s rigs. Gotta give her the proper ramp test! I'm impressed at how the shafts hold up too! The only breakage/weak point I've really had is a front steering block. Got some GPM's on the way to solve that! Great vid bro! 😀💪💪👊🤘🤘🍻

I got one and it gives my mates 6s a run for its money, but now the steering struggles to turn even with a new servo so its grounded for a while until i can work out whats wrong

Okay Vas, this is my 5th time watching this video. I've ordered TWO Typhon 3s BLX's, your video's were the tipping point. Man, I have absolutely no regrets and I'm sad to say my ECX Revenge E will be retired or used by my daughter. ARRMA make such a great package for the dollar here, just like my Big Rock Crew Cab.... anyone know if the Arrma Typhon 4x4 BLX 3s has a power cut off feature that cuts off the power when the lipo battery is low? this feature is important so that you can identify that the lipo battery is low and needs recharged. in turn, this protects the battery from being used at low voltage and therefore damanging it

I can tell you now that it wouldn't. My friend Paul had one and he could never finish a battery on this track before the car broke something. The only solid rear axle car that I've seen survive this track was the Thunder Tiger Jackal. It took some serious abuse...
TO EVERONE WHO OWNES THIS PLATFORM..do your self a favor and dremel out the motor mount holes just a little bit to release the pressure off the spur gear . That’s why thoes platforms are so noisy gear mesh too tight. Do this and enjoy a smoother, super quiet truck with lower temps I promise you
Michael Stuart yeah my granite was so loud I couldn’t stand it so that’s when I started to investigate.strange thing is...when installing the 26tooth pinion thoes holes are drilled perfectly on both my bigrock and granite blx
The gear mesh in these cars is way too tight & it has to be taking a toll on the motor. I mean there's no gap whatsoever in all 3 of my blx cars. It'll keep the spur from being chewed up but I want my motors to last. It's a ez fix whether you gear down a tooth, or move a hole over & gear up a tooth. But this platform can certainly take a beating no matter how much power I push through it - & the platform loves a center diff 😋

Koo Dee I’ve been watching clips constantly on both haha, but from what I’ve seen, the arms on the typhon are made from a stiffer plastic and are more prone to breaking. The Senton’s arms are more of a flexible composite material. I would get the Senton personally.
biker hiker that noise is pinion/spur gear mesh is too tight. Both my granite and big rock I dremeled the motormount holes out a little just to release some of the pressure off the spur gear and wow what a difference!!!so much smoother, super quiet, and lower temps

I only have a 2wd slash but I have been looking at arrma, every since the legal issues they had and I am so glad that someone bought them and is still putting out arrma products. I am looking for a 4wd but i'm undecided which one. I like lite rc trucks and I am hoping a 3s outcast or Kraton comes out.
For my next rig IDK if I want to get one of these 10th scale Arrmas or build a kit. Every rc that I've had has been a RTR so a kit is pretty attractive these days. Maybe a Yokomo or TLR stadium truck. Arrma is making it harder and harder to NOT get a senton, granite or this lol

Hey Vas ! Looking at getting back into offroad rc after a good few years out of the game (got bored of faffing with nitro and BL tech wasn't anywhere near as advanced or affordable) . Currently undecided between a savage xs or one of the arrma 4x4 3s blx range which you have reviewed the majority of (probably the typhon or granite) looking for a basher to just tool about with and have a giggle. I know they are very different in size and style to try and compare . In the UK they're all within a reasonable enough price gap so just looking for your opinion on what will give most smiles per mile and minimal downtime maintenance/repair wise. Any advise would be appreciated ! Cheers.

I don't know of any new releases or updates they're planning at the moment, but this buggy has been out for over a year now and hasn't been updated yet, so I'd say it's probably due. But when that'll come, I don't know... Thank you for the support and welcome to the channel. 😊

Can you use NIMH 5000 battery 🔋 I know it’s all about Lipo’s . I’m not good with managing battery’s .so I’m always using NIMH BATTERY’S. THIS BUGGIE LOOKS JUST TO 😎.
I just purchased the Typhon 3s last night brand new and I only get about 10-15 minutes run time on a fully charged/balanced battery. Did you experience this?
Is that just an Arrma thing? My son has the brushless 4x4 rustler with a very similar battery (as far as volts and mAh) and we’ll be running on the exact same ground, pushing the same speeds and his battery will last 30-40 minutes. I feel like there’s no way an 11 volt 5200 mHa battery should only last ten minutes. I wonder if it’s the esc setting..
Hmm, that is interesting... Could be the result of different power systems perhaps? Have you checked motor temps on the Typhon, is anything hotter than "normal"? Maybe power is being lost elsewhere...? Is the Rustler running in training mode?
Vas I was pleasantly surprised to get this before I go off to bed and wait for Santa's arrival😁 Simply love it! I like it on 2S but wow so much zip on 3S. What's your thoughts on this as a jumper compared to the Seton and Granite? This just seems like the better choice. Great video👍👍
I'm really loving my arrma vehicles . But I have 2 complaints . The rocks in steering is annoying as hell and it happens all the time . and if you jump a lot within a month of driving each weekend those shocks go to leaking like crazy .
In the bottom of the damper there are two o-rings and a spacer. Take out the spacer and put 4 o-rings instead. Had mine rebuilt like this for months and no leak problem.
Hey brother I don’t know if it’s deceiving watching the video but you seem like you got a complete and total control everything from lifted cornering Just out of the box !! If you were going to buy your first Arrma Outcast ,Kraton or typhoon which one would you purchase and only goal is to have the best of all worlds !! basher, good speed, great handling fun factor of 10!!! I got a Vkar bison v2 and I love it but man I spend more time fixing then I do driving oh wait a minute I spent more time waiting for parts then I do anything else so help me pull the trigger witch Arrma ????? = ?????? Unbelievable that the bad landing did not break the truck. Arrma trucks and cars hands-down number one in RC.
If they just fix the chassis bend and put better servos, I would own everything arrma makes.

That is a good idea. Mine was whining as well. It seems to be smoother now. The gear probably wore down from being so tight.
Mine too on granite but idk bigrock as noisey as granite was definitely run hotter

I run mine with a 20T and it handles it fine, so with a 17T you will be fine.

Switch to lipo and you will never look back. The difference is day and night

I just purchased the Typhon 3s last night brand new and I only get about 10-15 minutes run time on a fully charged/balanced battery. Did you experience this?
Yes, that is about the normal run time on a 5000mah battery or so. And it will vary depending on how and where you drive.
Is that just an Arrma thing? My son has the brushless 4x4 rustler with a very similar battery (as far as volts and mAh) and we’ll be running on the exact same ground, pushing the same speeds and his battery will last 30-40 minutes.
I feel like there’s no way an 11 volt 5200 mHa battery should only last ten minutes. I wonder if it’s the esc setting..
Hmm, that is interesting... Could be the result of different power systems perhaps? Have you checked motor temps on the Typhon, is anything hotter than "normal"? Maybe power is being lost elsewhere...? Is the Rustler running in training mode?

Vas I was pleasantly surprised to get this before I go off to bed and wait for Santa's arrival😁 Simply love it! I like it on 2S but wow so much zip on 3S. What's your thoughts on this as a jumper compared to the Seton and Granite? This just seems like the better choice. Great video👍👍

Hi, is it working stock on 4S ?
This is the Typhon 3S 4x4, so it can only run a 2S or 3S LiPo. You would need to change the motor and ESC to be able to run 4S. Cheers

It snows in Tasmania, and there's heaps of ski fields in Victoria and New South Wales.
I'm really loving my arrma vehicles . But I have 2 complaints .
The rocks in steering is annoying as hell and it happens all the time .
and if you jump a lot within a month of driving each weekend those shocks go to leaking like crazy .
In the bottom of the damper there are two o-rings and a spacer. Take out the spacer and put 4 o-rings instead. Had mine rebuilt like this for months and no leak problem.
Hey brother I don’t know if it’s deceiving watching the video but you seem like you got a complete and total control everything from lifted cornering Just out of the box !! If you were going to buy your first Arrma Outcast ,Kraton or typhoon which one would you purchase and only goal is to have the best of all worlds !! basher, good speed, great handling fun factor of 10!!! I got a Vkar bison v2 and I love it but man I spend more time fixing then I do driving oh wait a minute I spent more time waiting for parts then I do anything else so help me pull the trigger witch

Todd Olathe Ks. Mine was outcast but Kraton.more versatile its same except chassis longer and chassis on typhon outcast is shorter one get a kraton
