When throwing spears with R1 (if the skill is purchased and I believe it is) HOLD R1 to create a whirlwind that follows the spear. This one is really useful, cause it creates better control of the battlefield with its stun-effect. Quinn, you’re gonna love that one! 2. When detonating the spears you just impaled in enemies, HOLD triangle to make the explosion stronger. Thanks for another great episode 👏🏻

Remember when Kratos first gets the blades of chaos out in 2018, Athena says he'll always be a monster and Kratos says, "I know, but I'm your monster no longer". Then with Freya, he says he'll be no one's monster. That's his biggest fear and exactly what he was thinking while he killed Heimdall. He read his mind in that last moment. It wasn't a random one off dig.
The bit that Birgir says before he jumps to sacrifice himself roughly translates to " Cattle die, Kinsmen die, The self must also die; I know one thing which never dies: The reputation of each dead man." I have always found that quote so striking. Incidentally its also in the song Helvegen. When I first heard it I was like wait a minute.. I have heard that before!😊
Sköll and Hati: The Celestial Wolves, Sons of Fenrir, Grandsons of Atreus/Loki, Great-Grandsons of Kratos, when i first saw them i was which wolf is which but the One with the blue eyes is Hati and the one with Orange Eyes is Sköll. And ever since meeting Heimdall i told myself that "If Heimdall is ever any trouble i will deal with him" 58:15 DING DING DING GAME TIME
This is one of Kratos' lowest points in the Norse saga, because he turned into the exact thing he hates the most: his old self. It isn’t something to be celebrated. Heimdall is a mind-reader. He reads your thoughts, your intentions, and can look into your eyes and see your nature. He looked into Kratos and saw a "monster." Honestly, tragic.
Great playthrough guys! Next playthrough will introduce my favorite side mission of the game for reasons I won't say yet. Can't wait for you guys to find out about it. Also, Oak I just wanna recommend that you practice attacking more without depending on runic abilities. There were many moments during the Heimdall fight that I noticed you not attacking, when you had the chance to, because you preferred to wait on the runics to become available. That'll cost you in battle, and it already has, but it'll cost you a lot more during the Berserker battles and the DLC. Any moment wasted to attack, is another moment sparing your enemy and giving them the opportunity to attack. The Berserkers will test ALL of your skills, and you must become proficient at using them all. Well most of them anyway. I recommend you guys go to Musphelheim sometime to do some stuff and hone your skills. Otherwise, good job with the battle and sticking with it. Can't wait for the next part! 1:43 Just so you guys know, that Raven that you was looking for in the last episode is in a tree slightly to your left if you stop here before swinging on the spear. 1:00:14 Not gonna lie, I think you guys should get rid of that light runic attack for the Blades. I've seen you guys use it for a while now and its not that good. There's better runics you can use. I'd change your heavy runic for the blades as well. You have runics that can do more damage and stun.
5:30 if they have the red strip over the health bar then you need the axe. If it's a blue strip then you need the blades. Also if there is a gold sparkle on your enemies then you have a spear in them you can detonate.
"God of Watching Freya do all the work" haha, I thought Quinn may of had the 'Red Bull eyes' if he's had 2 of them hehe & the "A Train" nickname is growing on me too ha! Quinn's "I've been a bad boy" comment gave a cheeky giggle 🤭& that was quite a cool battle with Heimdall, but it meant poor Quinn only got 10 minutes of gameplay, but at least it was a good 10 minutes, he kicked ass in that enemy battle & we got some more story too! & that 'Artillery of The Ancients' ability of raining down spears looked really cool! great stuff guys thanks! 🙂💚💙❤
You know i love all ur lil gameplay recaps. I felt bad for poor Oak there for s bit, but he "totally redeemed himself" lol. I was gettin a lil worried bout him for a min like perhaps he should have had some of Quinn's wake me up red bulls too! This was a fun one. I finally got all caught up on the GOW gameplays & i cant wait to see how the rest of this story plays out!

Bare hands, blocking, and parrying poison your enemies which lowers their level. It says this on the armor 4) The whetstone is ONLY for Freyas sword, so why not use it even if you're not switching swords 🤷🏼♀️ Lots of laughs this one guys😊
Ever since you guys got the spear it was painful seeing you NEVER use it to get used to its move set.... Knowing what was coming. The fact that you got it specifically to fight Heimdall should have been the clue. Whatever, you got the job done eventually. Good going guys
The eyes of Skoll and Hati is more towards which object they chase, blue for the moon and orange for the sun. But congrats! Day and Night modification, hope you don't get sick of that when exploring Vanaheim... If you turned the altar back into night Freya would ask you why you did it and Kratos would admit he wanted to see the wolves again, which is a funny little tidbit but also a sign that the devs really did think ahead with some things But finally, Heimdall. Oh it felt so good to catch him out, and yet, it felt so discerning to kill him - the old god is still in there. Fortunately Kratos has a delirious Freyr to carry out before thinking about it too much, flying upon Skibladnir - the third gift made from the Sons of Ivaldi alongside Gungir and Sif's replacement hair - to get aerial escape. Also hardcore from Birgir, wish we got more of him earlier
You can also shift realms with certain weapon and shield attachments and moves… it requires you to full read descriptions of things though - also level up weapons that you didn’t bother too.

Skipbladnir - Freyr's ship thanks to dwarven* magic can be folded in to a convient size - like a handkerchief - and it flys now. * Or considering it's glowing like light - elven magic (but in myth it was part of the deal that gets Thor Mjolnir and Odin Draupnir.all dwarf made objects)
The whole moon and wolves scene gives me chills.

Heimdall was great but the Ghost of Sparta is greater, well done BM.
The dauntless shield is the best one in the game. Craft & level it up! And get good at parrying. And it’s shield bash is good.
