    Muki's grip and go o goshi was pretty sick and i loved margvelashvili's counter to the yagura nage and abe uta's grip and go osoto was really nice

    My favorites were Stump's Osoto, Abe's goshi guruma, Dris's duck under with the double sleeves and Verstraten's kosoto

    Favourites so far is Abe Uta's koshi guruma or Maruyama's tomoe nage. Grigilashvilli's pick up counter against Lee was amazing too, but only wazari

      100% agree. Also think Lee's multi combo into seoi is god tier.

    Hi mate ! Your comments are very relevant, thank you for the quality ; it must be a crazy job to do! is there any way to activate the automatic subtitles option, at least in English, for your international viewers?
    Thx !

    Nagase has got to be my favorite player at the moment. I'm in a heavier weight class, but similarly lanky and I like watching guys who can successfully execute ashi waza further away from their opponent like that. Also Ashi Guruma happens to be my favorite technique.

    Dude that throw at 9:25 was nuts. My first thought as he was going over was that was using kansetsu waza to throw I thought he was gonna get up with his arm broken. Head dive? He can’t turn his shoulder in his arm is completely extended? You might want to review the video and ask yourself how he’d perform ukemi there.

  • @bionborys1648
    @bionborys1648 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Maruyama is on another level, lose or win his technique is smooth and just flows like water. Unlike Muki or Stump, let's say, which are great but use a lot of force and strength.
    At 11:38 there's something falling to the mat and quickly picked up. What is it and what are the rules concerning this, should it affect the result of the match?

    That running Kata Guruma at 7:14 is actually completed in the opposite direction with the use of his leg... Not sure he planned it this way.

      Weirdly it's a throw I've seen at regional and national level, but never at an international level like this. Also gets used in bjj a bit.

    This style of judo is different than the late '50s & early '60s when I was active. I trained at the Kodokan while in the Air Force - throws were more defined - and many of the throws in this clip did not look like anything I ever trained on. Fighting for the grip was not that intense. My favorites were both sieonages & a left side ogoshe. Still enjoyed watching the major throws concepts presented in clip, single matches can be a little boring - guess its why I also like Sumo which I saw for the first time while in Japan.

    Got to love Japanese always complaining when they start losing. The best is when they get thrown they fake an injury. Lol
