I felt like the Ukranian Forces has started to given up due to fatigue and The thousands of their comrades dying of it and ofcourse the war has lasted for more than 2 years now. The Russian Advances is Nonstop since the winters. Ukranian Advances are only minors advancing mostly on Svatove Front and the Orikhiv Front which they failed and Robotyne got retaken.

@@azers8298 the biggest difference here could be how the russians was able to push out the ukrainians in avdiivka, kharkiv and other fronts with small advances.
No matter how small or big an advance is, it could be the build up of the disaster of ukraine. (Just how ukraine had to withdraw from avdiivka since they were getting encircled)
@azers8298 looking back, the front line have moved many many kilometers. Remember, the donbass is a fortress, even small advances are pretty major inside it. Most armies have simply flanked the donbass in the past.

They want the Geopolitical stability of the Soviet Union. They don't want NATO bases on their largest most vulnerable border in Europe. None of this would have happened if Maidan didn't happen. And the west has continually antagonized and tried to weaken the Russian state since the 90s. They supplied islamist separatists in the North Caucuses and funded color revolutions and anti russian sentiment everywhere they could on Russia's border. They put military bases in the Baltic countries and supported their government's repression of the native ethnic Russians in those countries and those same countries leaders actively call for open hostilities towards Russia and for it's ultimate balkanization.
Make no mistake, this war happened because the west wanted it and in that regard Putin is an idiot for letting it get this bad and trusting them as long as he did. He's also an idiot for letting corrupt loyalists like Shoigu and Geramaisov fuck up the initial action which prevented a swift victory with the capture of Kiev which led to this protracted conflict. I do not like that man, but this is far beyond just him, this is the survival of the Russian state as a sovereign entity at stake and I do not support NATO and western government's open hostility and destabilization efforts. Without the US government this war would never have happened.
