Great review. We had eaten dinner at Trattoria for dinner about 5 years ago. I had the braised beef it was fatty and the saltiest meal I had ever tasted. It was inedible. I had also tried the pizza. I was not impressed. We have not gone back for dinner. We do go for breakfast often, my husband loves the steak and eggs, the steak and eggs are always cooked perfectly well seasoned and addition of onions and peppers and potatoes. A bargain at $21.00 We just came back Wednesday from our 12 day trip. Deni we tried Yak & Yeti because of your review and you were so right. The house fried rice is fantastic! A new favorite restaurant. Love all your reviews. Thank you 😊

I’m so glad you praised your server! Certainly not their fault. The head chef should have 86’d that dish; they clearly knew the meat was greasy and not acceptable. Lasagna looks divine, and happy they made it right for you! 😀
Deni. Sometimes things just don’t work out. Thank you for saying that and not saying that everything is “good” like others do. We love trattoria also, but sometimes you have to call them out without a sugar coat. Thank you :)

Before you even said that about the dessert I had the same thought! I said out loud to my TV (don't judge 😂) " But that looks the same as the one you ate at Flower and Garden!" 😅😅So glad this one was better. I love your videos- so informative and fun to watch.
Short ribs are fatty. That’s why they taste so good. They should have skimmed the surface while braising them. Either way though, you’re still getting a lot of fat, solid or liquid.

I loved Trattoria Al Forno. That dish did look shocking, definitely wouldn’t eat that.
I wish they would bring back the Bon Voyage character breakfast at this location… it was so delicious and great fun!
The short rib isn’t even on their menu as of this evening…I wonder if lots of other people have had negative experiences with it lately.

We’ve eaten at Trattoria maybe 4 times and have always had a good experience. We always get some sort of pasta dish, so we’ve never had a problem as you did with the short rib. Love your channel, Deni!

We’ve had breakfast at this restaurant several times. We love it. I particularly like the breakfast pizza.
The worst meal I’ve had at Disney World was at Liberty Tree at the end of 2022. The whole meal was not great but the turkey was disgusting. People rave about it so maybe it was just a bad night, but there were 5 turkey living adults in our party. None of us enjoyed it at all.
Dinner at Trattoria is just ok but breakfast is great! Especially sitting outside at one of their little tables and watching the boats . I don't think I've ever heard you say something was not good so I definitely trust your judgment on this dish! Thanks for the review.
I’ve enjoyed their breakfast in the past (I even chose to eat there on my birthday one year🎉). Their pressed pot coffee and egg, fennel sausage and polenta dish are faves.
What style and amount of garlic is on the garlic bread? Is it roasted like the table bread? Minced or chopped fresh garlic? Garlic powder / garlic salt? Hopefully not the last one?
I love a solid amount of minced, fresh garlic on my garlic bread.
Recalling the meals that my wife and I had in 2013, the sole disappointment I can recall was not from one of the fancier restaurants but from one of the fast food-ish places in the Futureworld section of Epcot, and, while some of it was the food (for which, admittedly, we didn't have high expectations, anyway), most of it had to do with the fact that the service was rude; someone was either having a bad day or just plain didn't care.
OTOH, we ate at Coral Reef, for which I had seen some awful reviews, and we found the food to be excellent; the only thing bad about that experience was the woman they seated at a single table close to us, who then proceeded to very loudly badmouth her meal, boasting about how she was a food service reviewer for her blog. (If I am skeptical that her 'blog" was anything more than her Facebook page, if it existed at all, it was mainly because the purpose of said "blog" changed every time she brought it up, which was frequently.) The waitperson offered to let her speak to the chef, which she quickly declined (he came out anyway); when desserts were suggested, flan was mentioned, to which her response was "What's flan?"
The restaurant itself was great.
It's one of our favorite places, but that dish was never something that interested us. The lasagna amd the shrimp pasta (well and the gnocchi) are tops for us
I’ve only been to Trattoria once. Went to breakfast with my sister who lives locally a month . She has been to Trattoria several times. Our breakfast was delicious. She has also been for dinner and has not enjoyed it.
That's a shame, because I would've been drawn towards the short ribs as well.
I’ve been waiting for this reveal since you posted about it recently! I’m sorry to hear that your dish wasn’t good, but thank you for keeping us aware. I do love Trattoria, and pro tip, you can order a kid’s garden salad as a side. It’s only about $3, and it’s basic but a yummy addition to a carb heavy meal.

Love the dining reviews. A few years back we ate Tutto Italia at Epcot and did not really care for it at all. Just had no flavor and almost tasted like a frozen Italian food that was heated up? For the price we paid it was not worth it. We now only visit Via Napoli at the Italy pavilion. I dream about that pizza! love it so much... We arrive at Disney on Saturday morning! Can't wait!
22:54 Thanks for your honesty. Years ago my son ordered a pork dish at Skipper Canteen. The cut of meat was super fatty. When I questioned it, I was told that’s just how it is. It truly was inedible, and I ended up getting him more food elsewhere. We’ve gone back since and know to avoid that dish!
The same if ordered again. Understand that. However, what they may be saying in general is we're ordering lesser quality meat now, which has more fat?

Hey Deni! I’ve been to Trattoria Al Forno twice. Once for breakfast in 2009 with some pals during my internship & then for dinner in 2021 with my Dad. Breakfast was yummy! Dinner was….chef’s kiss. We had the bruschetta app. Dad had the lasagna. I had the gnocchi topped with a parmesan crisp. Soooo yummy!
Love this review! About 3 years ago we ate at Trattoria al Forno, keeping it positive, my son loved the macaroni cheese but just checked out the menu (we will be back in Oct) and looks like its not an option anymore:( Did you notice it on the menu by chance?
Thanks for saving me the disappointment of a bad meal on my next trip. Had this on my reservations for an upcoming WDW trip, but after seeing your review I canceled. How do you feel about the "table" they sat you at? My wife and I hate being sat and mini tables in between large families. We feel like as a party of 2 we don't qualify to get a normal sized table. Would you put this restaurant on a repeat visit list? Personally I feel the overall food quality has diminished over the last few years. Seems like the braised short rib pops up on many menus, probably because of the profit margin. The OsoBuco went away probably because of that reason. We prefer Via Napoli, but only if we have a park day planned. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
I so much appreciate your food reviews. So many that do reviews just say, "It's good.", without any descriptive notes. Here's to you for calling out the short ribs. If they don't stop sub-par ingredients from coming into the kitchen, then that's on them. Thanks for honest reviews that can be trusted.
We had our first bad experience at this restaurant in March. We both ordered Chicken Parmesan and struggled to cut through the chicken. Didn’t send it back but I think I only had two bites from mine. The server said it was a problem with their chicken supplier across property. We had no other chicken issues on our trip. I so wish I ordered something else. Had been a favorite place of ours.
I find it so interesting that you received a similar explanation to the one Deni’s server gave - at least to my understanding. While not a chef, I’ve worked in food service enough that that isn’t the best excuse.
I've never dined here but I want to give it a try someday! I'm waiting for the characters to return as this is the last location lacking characters on Disney property, but the menu still looks good! Dinner though, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll consider it, but Idk.
We ate there for the first time back in March. We loved everything we ordered, but did not get the short rib. I'm not sure if it was even on the menu back then. I'm glad you sent that back, and you are correct that it should have never been sent to the table. As far as the worst things I've eaten at WDW the only two things I can think of is the steak at Sebastian's Bistro - it was so chewy that I had to spit it out. The other was years ago at ABC Commissary. I just ordered a basic chicken sandwich but it was so dry it was inedible and the cheese on it was rubbery. I could not eat it. I should have sent it back but didn't. I just threw it away.
Loved the Bon Voyage breakfast they used to have before the pandemic. Great characters and relatively unique breakfast offerings for Disney.
As for most disappointing/worst experience on Disney property, I’d have to go with ‘Ohana. We’ve been twice; once for dinner and once for the character breakfast. The character breakfast had great character interaction, but the meal (unlike the above mentioned Bon Voyage) is boring, mass produced, assembly line fare. For dinner, the food was good (not outstanding, but no complaints) but we felt as though our presence was an inconvenience to our server and the entire restaurant staff. As though their only goal was to get rid of us so they could get as many people as possible seated at our table that night. We are quick eaters, weren’t worried about staying to watch fireworks, and are more than happy to finish a normal dinner out in under an hour; so making us feel rushed takes some doing. Extra disappointing because it’s one that we were so excited about beforehand.
We’ve had some great meals there, highly recommend the gnocchi if you haven’t tried it! I’m sorry this one wasn’t the greatest 😢

When staying at Boardwalk we go to flying fish and also head over to beach club for the Beaches n Cream
We had brunch there and it was a disaster. My “French toast” was like a loaf of underbaked cake. Inedible. My boyfriend got eggs and sausage and the eggs were raw, not even underdone just straight up raw - coming from someone who likes runny eggs! He also immediately started feeling unwell so we just wanted to leave but the staff would not let us go until the chef came over. When he finally did he just shrugged and said he could make us something else but we just wanted out of there. Horrible experience!

We've always only had breakfast there and it's always good, I get the eggs poached in Sunday sauce and my wife gets the steak and eggs.
I love that breakfast dish! Yum.
We ate there for the first time last September and we had a nice meal. Service was great. I always judge an Italian Restaurant by its chicken or veal Pharm and also the sauce. If I had been there now, I probably would have also ordered the short rib. I'm a sucker for short ribs or osso bucco. Thanks for the heads-up. The fact that they were honest with you when you sent it back was reassuring and it seemed that the rest of your meal was good. Nice review.

That garlic bread looked so good and so did the lasagna. I’ve never heard anything good about the lasagna rolls on end but dry, not something lasagna lovers want. Your lasagna is something I’d order. Too bad that meat was greasy, I’ve had one like that and not good. Another great review from you and definitely will try to go there next time I’m over there.
I have never eaten here but most disappointing dish-chicken parm at Tony’s. The chicken was tough, and the sauce was bland. 🙁 Would not recommend eating there.

We had a delicious breakfast there as recommended by another vlogger. We have been lucky with our dining choices when we have been over from the UK and the only meal I can think of was actually a bar snack at Martha's Vineyard. Service was dreadful and my clam chowder was cold and in a very unbritish way we sent it back. We loved staying at Beach Club but really disappointed overall with the dining there, was a better experience at the marketplace. 😂
The last time I ate there it was called Spoodles. I enjoyed the meal but there are so many places to eat in Disney we never made it back. We will definitely go on our next trip to try the lasagne. As always a wonderful review, like having dinner with an old friend.
My most disappointing meal was at the 50s sitcom restaurant at the Studios. It just wasn't worth it. The food was mediocre and, since I was a solo traveler, the gimmick wasn't much for me.

It has beef, veal and pork listed among the ingredients, so while it didn't taste overly sausage-y, it has all the makings for sausage. Hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching! ❤

While braised short ribs are a cheaper fattier cut, reason it’s on every dinner menu, that one was kinda gross. Maybe a little bit of an overreaction but definitely not appetizing
I mean this this as a fan & practical guy here Deni. LOL. But you know that you could've put the beef onto a small plate & use some napkins to soak up a good amount of grease. Yeah, its not going to drain all of it but it should drain a good portion to where it's edible. And you can simply cut up the beef & dip them into the main plate & have a cool meal.
Lasagna looked delicious but when you said it had veal...nope. I pledged years ago never to eat veal again due to the cruelty of it. No dish is worth it in my book. I think I will skip this place on my next visit.
