That CA glue tip is awesome. I don’t why that method isn’t more widely known. It’s brilliant - great result and super fast! Well done and thanks for sharing.
I never knew that doors would actually have swelling caused by water damage. This is a job that is beautifully done, the doors look brand new. Thanks for the great tip!
Thank you so much for this video! I was about to replace all of my MDF cabinets...now i know it is fixable...but my countertop near sink is swollen badlly, is it also fixable? Thank you!!
So glad to hear that you found the video helpful!! The countertop might be fixable. Depends on the surface material. Is it a laminate of some kind over a particle board? If that's the case, it will probably be difficult to access the swollen material below, and might damage the surface. But if you were going to resurface the top of the countertop, and can cut or sand through the top surface, this method should work. Thanks for watching. Good luck!
I have the exact same cabinets with MDF and the white overlay. What brand paint did you use, please? I need to fix some water damage using your helpful tips, and then it's time to paint!
This kitchen was painted with Sherwin Williams pro classic interior acrylic enamel, in semi gloss. Pro Classic is pretty good for cabinets. If you have any trouble getting a good color match, I recommend taking a door to a SW store and have them do a color match. Good luck!
I needed to fix a spot on a door and I couldn’t think of anything else to seal the water damage. Paint and primer just soaked in and made it swell more. Then I thought soaking the spot in some super glue might penetrate the fibers and cure without swelling. Turns out it worked perfectly. There’s some other videos showing the same technique, but I didn’t think to look til after I tried it. Thanks for watching!

What is the name of the tool you’re using to apply glue on the door? Thanks
That's called a palette knife. They're made for fine art painting, but super useful for stuff like this.
