- This video explains all about Rajasthani School of miniature paintings. Origin of Rajasthani schoolt,its development,various schools of Rajasthan like Mewar,Bundi, Bikaner ,Jodhpur,Jaipur and ,Kishangarh school.How various schools contributed in developing Indian miniature art.
This video is for selfstudy purpose for students of CBSE class 11th and 12th,and is containing Hindi and english language.

Summary 👇
16th to 19th Century ad.
Influence by: Mughals, political change, relationship between the Mughal and Rajputs.
Mostly drawn: Religious paintings, royal life, Literary painting, Ragmala, Baramasa.
Sub-schools: Mewar, Bundi, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner.
Mewar (oldest art): they had elements of central indian style with persian influence. Colors are bright and in contrast. Text of the painting is written in black in the top against a yellow background. They mostly did Raagmala series.
Bundi: Very close to Mewar school. Women are shown with round faces, receding forehead, sharp nose, full cheeks, sharply penciled egebrows.
Depiction of lush vegetation and picturesque landscape. Rich and glowing colors are used.
Kishnagarh: Beauty in depiction of women. Elongated human forms. Paranomic landscapes stylized compositions.
Jaipur: Large number of life size portraits were made. Ram lila, Ramayana, Mahabharatq, bhagwat purana, camel fight, ceremonies of royal court were made.
Jodhpur: Initial phase followed Jain style of painting. Depicted bhagvata purana, nal damyanti, and Durga Charitra.
Female figures had charming simplicity and beautiful long uplifted eyes.
Bikaner: Has most Mughal features. Paintings were made on religious, mythological themes. Has fine lines and a lesser range of color.
