in F1 atleast if you off the track under safety car and join back, you cannot go back to your original position. The "No Overtaking" takes higher priority than "Maintain position" I believe.

I've seen folks get livid from penalties in GT Sport and GT7, they'd probably get committed playing this game. Yikes, the penalties thrown about for seemingly random reasons and the AI not actually keeping up with who is at fault, penalties in games is much harder than folks think it is to program.
Real F1 stewards with the benefit of context and multiple replays can't give consistent penalties, I don't understand how people expect a computer to do better. It's like they expect Codemasters to develop a groundbreaking fully conscious AI capable of deducing the intentions behind actions. The penalty system could definitely use some work, but we can't expect miracles.
It's not a case of the penalty system being bad in either game, though both can certainly use an improvement. The problem is the standard of the drivers that are just ridiculously low in F1 and only a touch better in GT. It's just games for kids, so you get lots of 10 yr olds on controllers "racing". The only different being that in GT they can paste their car full of their favorite semi lewd anime crap and in F1 they can unlock a rare sofa. Both games are utter jokes and thats how F1 is portrayed here. As a jest.

Only time I got half decent racing in F1 game was in F1 2018. We had only like 4 -5 people in the lobby and filled the rest with AI. It was fun, but one of them still managed to crash under safety car.

F1 physics and cars with Gta V driving styles, honestly a match made in heaven.
The sofa is a powerful object, Steve just wasn't ready for it. With great power comes great responsability.
The amount of times this has happened to me 9:11 is absurd lmao, doesn't matter what game or if it's even a race or a time trial, sometimes you just go to another dimension mentally mid-corner and book an appointment with Barry R or Sandy Pitts 🤷♂
These videos restore my faith in humanity… can always count on some good old fashion carnage and chaos. I mean how absurd can any one game get. I haven’t ventured online because I am really quite bad but this is apparently something that shouldn’t hold me back from getting out on track and simply terrorizing the field.

I feel like for those who haven’t played the game you need to understand that as your super-license rating goes up you start to play others with similar safety ratings and there begins to be significantly less “carnage”. It’s never going to be perfect but they’ve really upgrading ghosting in f122 so it’s not as likely that you’ll have a ruined race from the first lap
We underestand that, problem is that significantly less carnage than this is still absurd amount of carnage. Ghosting isnt really a solution its just a way how to make entire game a time trial.

Yea I understand that’s it’s still definitely far from perfect. But I’m not sure how you can make it better. at the end of the day you can’t compare an F1 game to a GT game. Just the nature of driving a car 200+ mph and breaking from that to 30mph in a 150 yard area is extremely hard even for high level players. You just can’t really make a solution for lack of human reaction time. You’d have to sacrifice realisticness for player experience.
@@vvs6433 I only said what I said to at least bring attention the the fact that it does at least get alittle better, super GT doesn’t even have a super license rating. When I played my first 5 races maybe only 6 people would finish a race now that I’m at safety rank B a majority of the field will finish. I didn’t feel that he gave an accurate depiction of the game saying as he’s played so little. I’ve played GT7 and it’s equally as bad when you play your first races
@@jpick3113 I thought about F1 games exactly like this and the conclusion for me is that F1 games rly dont make any sense, the skill demand is so high only top 100 players can have good expirience from the games. Those players like Leclerc make huge promo to the game and many F1 fans will then try it only to find out that its horrendous expirience for them. Lobies for players starting online races in GT7 are way cleaner, the difference is absolutely massive. GT7 is my first racing game after NFS underground 2, I started playing online races 2 months back and I still remember the first ones and it was actually pretty clean. Now Iam B/S (just tiny bit befor reaching A/S) and 9 out of 10 races are very close and very clean. Btw sofas and other piles of mechanics that shloudnt be in a racing game are really the finishing blow to this game and Iam saying that with pain since I love F1.
I don't know why I was hoping for one good funny race where Super GT prevailed from all the chaos like hollywood movies.! xD
But honestly woud love move F1 22 content where you actually had a chaotic good race and with your commentary is just soo much epic! Keep up the great funny content going on! ;D

F1 is a game thought to enjoy its AI. Honestly, I think many thinks haven't been done properly on this game, but I must admit that the AI in battling this year is completely outstanding
Good thing it’s impossible to even get in a battle with them due to the fact they get a Mario cart fucking speed boost on the straights.
@@raffitorres1714 Well, that's true. Try to reduce a couple of point your AI level. I used to play with 97 and now I play with 95 and depending on the circuit 94. Plus, try to reduce a bit your wings and add som psi to your tyres so that you've got a better speed on straights

Haven't played an F1 game since like the OG xbox. This looks like absolute mayhem. It makes the Horizon games look tame which I didnt think to be possible
