I sort of detected a hint of compassion in Kyras. Especially when he mentioned the Eldar souls not being consumed by Slaneesh, but by Khorne, which is a huge boon. This is why Kyras was my favorite Chaos worshiper in the DoW series. Such a charismatic villain.

Well, Sindri didn't have much choice either, he wanted to ascend to demonhood, and the way he decided to use was using the Maledictum, which had a Kornate Demon inside of it. So he had to please Khorne so he allowed it. Also do not forget we are talking about Sindri... SINDRIIIIIIIIIII...
When an Eldar gets rekt by a guy as glorious as this it is a sight to behold. Their pompous arrogance getting them into trouble, Kyras telling them that they fucked up and that well deserved burn on Ronahn.
Damocles178 I usually tell people to play the campaign at least twice. Once with their favourite race and once with the Tyranids. The Tyranid campaign is actually pretty fun since it plays so differently, as you only have one hero to control.
Tyranid is also the easiest, just spam venom cannon warriors and you just... win... They do absurd damage against everything in the campaign, though were nerfed heavily in the multiplayer.
Zilenan91 Yeah, I played a couple of missions like that, a few others massing gaunts and others with a bunch of Carnifexes. Since you don't have to invest into a single type of unit like most of the other campaigns want you to do you can do whatever the hell you feel like at any point. For the final boss I just built whatever unit I could afford to make a proper varied 'Nid swarm.
I played the IG first and then the 'nids and this is very true. As an added bonus, the tonal shift was huge. The story changed from a plucky band of heroic guardsmen saving an entire sector to a horror story. Kyras slowly sinks into despair as all he worked for, all the power he gathered and warriors he corrupted, everything he ever had or knew is just insufficient. The great Devourer consumes all, and in the end there is nought but silence on dead worlds. It was chilling, and it was excellent.
Damn Kyras really knows how to break them. Just by talking. And showing just how badly they fuck up, and hilariously how their arrogance backfires. Also Rohnahn just got absolutely crushed.

Wow even among other Eldar the Eldar preventing the Exterminatus still treated Kayleth with no more regard than those in the Imperium. Would've been good if the previous mission was made slightly different; in the case of the Eldar Campaign, instead of interrupting the ritual your forces could try to help the other Eldar by defending the ritual and then Kyras sends in his own forces to stop it because while he prefers manipulation to get the job done, he would surely want to make sure the fleet gets through as it's crucial for his ascension to daemonhood; eventually Kyras forces could prove to be too much for the Eldar putting an end to the ritual and forcing you to flee and from there things would happen as normal . I know the missions in Retribution are more-less exactly the same but a bit of deviation would've been nice or at the very least a better reason for the two Eldar factions to willingly kill each-other; such a thing doesn't really seem in the cards for a race on the brink of extinction.
I find Kyras like really respectable guy Imagine getting your soul liberated from Slaanesh and safely getting you to Khorne instead As an Eldar in Warhammer universe, it would be a liberation

Agreed. If only the campaign missions were varied . At best I could only play through the campaign twice before getting bored as it's not as fun when you know how to do the missions after the first or second play-though. The conversations were epic and just about the only real reason to go through it again :)
