      The end of Gaza:
      Zephaniah 2
      4. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
      5. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of YHWH is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
      6. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.
      7. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for YHWH their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.
      Ezekiel 25
      14. And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
      15. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
      16. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
      17. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am YHWH, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

      1. This war is not based on 'their religion'.
I won't deny that Hamas are muslim fanatics, though.
They think that being muslim gives them license to do anything they want.
It's an excuse to sin to the max.
      2. Most Jews today do not follow 'their religion', certainly not as presented in the Old Testament laws. They do not perform the required sacrifices of bulls, sheep, and goats. They changed their traditions to suit themselves.
      3. Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of 'their' prophecies, which really belong to the whole world.
For Jesus said, 'salvation is from the Jews' (see John 4:22), but he did not say that it is for Jews only, nor that one must be Jewish in order to be saved.
      4. So-called 'Christianity' is not a 'Gentile religion', for it developed first within the Jewish community at Jerusalem. FACT.
      5. 'Being Jewish' is NOT simply a matter of 'religion', but has ETHNIC and CULTURAL components.
Furthermore Jews have intermarried extensively with other peoples through their long history, which happens to be quite normal for human beings.
      6. If you are on an 'anti-religious' kick, let me assure you that:
      A. The Bible never speaks kindly of religion per se, and when it does use an equivalent term for 'religion', does so in a manner which is sharplu critical.
      B. Not all 'traditional religions' are concerned primarily with the 'supernatural' or even acknowledge it, but some are concerned primarily with this world.
Just an observation to correct a common stereotyoe; not an endorsement.
      C. there are plenty of secular ideologies in our modern world which perform the same organizing social, intellectual, and emotional functions as traditional religions have had for millennia. For all intents and purposes, these are SECULAR RELIGIONS>
Behold, how the 'new atheists' love to proselytize! Yet there is nothing 'new' about their doctrine, which is a rehash of 19th c. Positivism and Darwinism, on steroids (Darwin was not really an atheist).
And the guys who lead the cult are aging -upper middle class white men, not so 'hip' after all.

I am sure you love your home. Not sure where you live, but imagine going to work and returning to find strangers in your home. The strangers tell you that based on an ancient history that is disputable, they have a right to return to the land where your home is sitting and they want you out. The strangers occupy your home, eat your food, go into your bedroom, take over your bathroom, consume your water and electricity, build a garden, and begin alterations to a home that has been in your family for the past 12 generations. Although these strangers say they belong to a religious group of people, their ancestry is from the caucuses region of Europe. However, your people are actually from the region as well as your neighbors who are Christian, Muslim, and Jewish. You have had enough and begin a protest against these new strangers. When the protest doesn't work because of their powerful allies, you begin to use force. Now you are called a terrorist and blamed for resisting the settler occupation of your home. How would you feel? The reality is that in 1948, after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, Palestine was divided into two parts -- one part was 55% given to Jewish and Zionist (non-religious) immigrants from Europe and 45% to the (Christian, Muslim, and Jewish) Palestinians. It was an immoral and illegal land gift because it was land to give. But Theodor Herzl, Chaim Weizmann, and other European Zionists wanted to build a place for Jews where people were already living. The land was already occupied. In the US, we were taught Christopher Columbus discovered America, but how can a European discover a place where people were already living? This can only be done when you think of people as animals or objects, not human beings. It is when you deny the people their humanity, dignity, and rights, you can do what the early Americans who were English and French, did to the indigenous people of America. The French and the English were attempting to take Palestine from the Ottomans -- who were thought of as animals. In particular, the British wanted to remove the Egyptian Pasha from his power and control the Middle East. This is where the deal to make Israel was sealed. However, the conspiracy did not anticipate a strong and long-lasting resistance from the Palestinians. The problem did not begin in 1948, but actually in 1897 when Theodor Herzl was warned to choose another site for his Zionist project.

Check your books a second time. That region was under the control of OTTOMAN TURKEY before the First World War.The Ottoman turks had a very bad human rights record
It is true that the war gave the British an incentive to chip away at the Ottoman possessions, starting from their base in Egypt, but they had little success until 1917.
British troop entered Jerusalem on Christmas Day, 1917. Out of reverence, General Allenby walked into town and did not ride a horse.
Of course the Balfour Declaration dates from 1917. The British were playing for both Arab and Jewish support at the same time, amticipating that they would be plating an important role in the region once the war was over.
This led to somewhat contradictory policies.
Christian Zionism was a movement within the UK a few decades before Jewish Zionism came to the fore. I am not British but do consider myself a moderate Christian Zionist.
I do believe that the return of the Jewish people to their original homeland is a opartial fulfilment of Old Testament prophecy. The evidence makes this glaringly obvious. Yet I do not consider israel's government infallible, and I think the religion of the rabbis is desperately misguided. However I consider messianic Judaism an integral part of the Christian Church.
Nationalism of any kind can easily degenerate into toxicity, but Palestinian-Arab nationalism fused by islamic religion is absolutely deadly.
I agree with the Israeki war aim of displacing Hamas from power.
How thoroughly they can accomplish this is another matter.

    • @marcusonesimus3400
      @marcusonesimus3400 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

The fact is that when the British entered Palestine the native jewish population and the Jewish immigrant population were quite small, the economy also poorly developed. However Jewish immigration continued to drive development during the interwar period. By the 1930s there were significant tensions because of Arab resentment against the immigrants. It's a common response which we see in many countries, and it doesn't speak well of human nature.
I've also heard of tensions within Israel between groups who have been settled awhile and new groups from places like Ethiopia, who have a different 'look'.
I could also speak of the disgraceful way post-ww2 Arab regimes behaved toward their own Jewish populations, expelling them so that they had nowherre to go except to Israel.
I read that the Iraqi leader, Qasim, was not like that, but gave full civil rights to Jews.
However Saddam Hussein's group murdered Qasem. Saddam tried to incite war with israel in 1991, but they did not take the bait.
But his Scud missiles were nothing compared with the crimes of Hamas.

Immediate diplomatic intervention is required to bring an end to the suffering and chart a course towards reconciliation. Nor can it force an offended person to forgive hi/her offender.
all your subtle reasonings, or the subtle reasonings of those whose intellects you admire, are powerless to erase the trauma of a violated woman.
Btw, how many rapes and beheadings has the IDF committed in this conflict?
War up close and personal is designed to have a special psychological impact upon victims, which missles and bombs cannot quite replicate, although they may cause equal or greater physical damage.
Did you ever see the video of the Hamas 'fighter' hooting and hollering in ecstatic joy at the sight of dead Israelis? What a mighty rush of adrenaline he must have felt. Then 'martyrdom', as followers of his fictional god call it.
Just wondering whether you've ever reflected upon such 'trivial' considerations.

he courageous declaration of the President of the UN breaking with the complicit silence and his alignment with international law and that of the oppressed to have their freedom and self-determination is to be warmly welcomed and encouraged. Witness to Israel's continued violations of international charters and rights while embodying the role of the victim, caressing Western sensitivities vis-à-vis the Jewish nation for what it endured in Europe; the president of the UN could not tolerate any more and distanced himself from Western complicity in the genocide of the Palestinian people and the crimes perpetrated against them during more than 75 years of occupation and oppression.
Worthy of his humanity and his faith, the President of the UN sighed and said out loud what was forbidden to think and say quietly!
All human children are chosen and no one is above the law. Human lives have the same values and before justice we are supposed to be equal!

The Palestinians have been unable to establish a government in over 50 years that's committed to negotiating peaceful coexistence with Israel. Choosing Hamas, with their commitment to removing all Jews from the Middle East isn't going to lead to the two-state solution the UN and most other nations want to encourage. Continued forced migrations are the only tool they have made available to Israeli and western diplomats, it's unfortunate that they don't want that tool used on them. Perhaps they need to study the history of the IRA and the Troubles. That only took 40 years to work out. I'm not suggesting Israel is without fault or that this is a problem that can be fixed with another outsider mandate (we all know how the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine turned out in 1948). Both the Israeli people and the Palestinian people need to forcefully select governments committed to negotiation of a settlement for coexistence in the area. In that regard the Israelis have picked such a government several times and the Palestinians never have.

The IRA did not draft a genocidal charter calling for the extermination of all British people -they had territorial aims whereas Hamas will continue to attack Jews and Israelis no matter what's negotiated. So the comparison doesn't make much sense. This isn't really a land war -it's a clash of two vastly different cultures that simply cannot live next to each other.

Израильтяне заслужили такое отношение к себе со стороны палестинцев. Они не давали им возможность нормально жить. Они творят геноцид палестинского народа. And no, what Hamas did is emblematic of cowardice, not courage.
They went after the kind of Israeli, left-wing 'peaceniks' mostly, who were defenseless and not inclined to hurt them.

The “intractable Palestinian problem” is IDEOLOGICAL, not geographical. No amount of land will resolve it. Hamas & the Palestinians who support them are radical fundamentalists who don’t want a peaceful 2-state solution, just to eradicate Israel “from river to sea.” There’s never been a country named “Palestine” & they’ve refused every offer to create one.
Israel left Gaza in 2005 & since then Hamas has wasted billions in aid on weapons & tunnels. They’ve built no industry or infrastructure & still depend on Israel for electricity, food & water. Yet the Palestinian population has grown from 600k to >2mil.
If Gaza is a “prison” then the blame must fall equally on the rest of the MENA region, not just Israel. No Arab nations will help or even take refugees because in the past they caused problems every place they went. They played roles in coups & civil wars of Syria, Lebanon & Jordan. They supported the brotherhood & blew stuff up in Egypt. They supported Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
If 2mil Palestinians weren’t militants, they’d overthrow Hamas, return the hostages, surrender & accept a peaceful 2-state solution. As long as they remain fundamentalists, they’ll live in conflict & poverty. This is true of all fundies worldwide, from Mormons crowded in trailers Utah to islamic fundies in tunnels & caves in MENA.

2: Imagine taking the stance that the Palestinians who are fleeing have to stay and get butchered because the Arab States want them to stay for THEIR political belief. There is no reason Egypt cannot help them move to the West Bank while the engagement is in conflict in Gaza or at the very least cycle displaced people to be provided essentials at the border (water, medicine and food) while they return to the other side after essentials are met.
3: The West should most certainly be involved as we are responsible for the situation, the Palestinians are the decedents of the Bedouin tribes of Saudi Arabia (remember the whole Lawrence of Arabia thing? The English promised them land for their support against the Ottomans. Followed by promises to the Jewish people after WW2.
4: Syria lost its land in an illegal war against Israel, you don't go to war with someone, lose and face no consequences.
The unfortunate fact is that the Palestinians have shown they are incapable of creating a stable State or one they provide would be labeled a terrorist state as they are unable to have any control over paramilitary groups within their government.

    15. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
    16. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

The headline says: Israel-Gaza: Why is there a war? It's funny coming from the BBC. Did BBC start broadcasting on this issue from the 7th of October? It's you who let the war drag on from 1948. It's you who supported Imperialism and Colonialism of Palestine. It's you who knowing the truth denied it and put your viewers in denial. It's your silence for Palestine and unwavering support for Israel. The blood of every Palestinian is on your hand and also to those who supported you. It's you who deliberately showed only one side's narrative but not the others.
You failed to mention the "nakba" (the catastrophe) that happened in 1948 with real numbers of casualties. The number you said "the thousands" of Palestinians is a lie. After the declaration that 78% of Mandatory Palestine would be Israel, the expulsion and flight of 700,000 Palestinians, the related depopulation and destruction of over 500 Palestinian villages by Zionist militias and later the Israeli army and its allies England, USA, and subsequent geographical erasure, the denial of the Palestinian right of return, the creation of permanent Palestinian refugees, and the "shattering of Palestinian society".
Israeli force's atrocities also include more than 70 massacres against Palestinians killing 15,000 Palestinians during Nakba time. After the war, a large number of Palestinians attempted to return to their homes; between 2,700 and 5,000 Palestinians were killed by Israel during this period, the vast majority being unarmed and intending to return for economic or social reasons. The expulsion of the Palestinians has since been described by some historians as ethnic cleansing. But BBC and CNN questioning this war? You should question the origin of modern Israel. You guys are the reasons people in the 21st century facing colonialism. BBC, CNN, FOX, DW, and NBC are the propaganda machines and lap dogs of the colonists. You people must have to face some harsh judgments in the future. No oppressor and their supporters on earth went unpunished for their deeds. Maybe it's by God or by the force of nature but this will happen to you guys too for remaining silent, for supporting the oppressor, for hiding the truth, for justifying the kills of millions of civilians. This is not the only war you caused. The war in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Kosovo, and over 100 countries in the name of peacekeeping destroyed those countries for no reason. Britain did this until the end of World War 2 and after the end of World War 2, The US picked up the roles as The Brits lost their power.

    *Matthew 24 verses 6-8*
*"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."*
The Lord Jesus Christ accurately and correctly prophesied that these things would come to pass... the real question is,
Are you ready for His return?
The Bible says you must be born again by the Holy Spirit.
Mentioned in John chapter 3 verses 3-8, Jesus explains to Nicodemus how to inherit everlasting life.
If you have not believed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and have not surrendered your life to His Lordship, then you are bound for hell... just like everyone who died in their sin on October 7th,(or any other day) Palestinian or Israeli.
    I tell you the truth,
the real Jews are born again by the Holy Spirit of the living God, Jehovah, and they fear Him and keep His commandments.
Because God is a consuming fire.
You need to *REPENT and believe*

If applied to the Israel-Palestine discourse, the values promoted by Amazons *APL66K* could be transformative in paving the way for peace.
