Nicely done! That came out great!
I have watched this video a few times and your enthusiasm is a bit contagious. Keep on putting out your videos as I am sure they are inspiring people to get out to the shop and try stuff!
Hello, How deep do you cut and what bit do you use. Thank you
Which vbit ,depth and density did you use. Yours came out great
Out-frigging-standing!! I like that very much. Giving me some good ideas.
What program do you use to scan photo to make the file for the cnc to run this
What was the bit depth of cut and step over
That really looks great
Dalw
The hook of the video should have been a clip of the spray reveal, very cool. Larry
Fantastic outcome my friend! Awesome work, wull try this soon!
What was your line spacing, Angle and depth with you 60 deg V-Bit
What bit did you use for this project? I'm trying to get a lot of detail of a 2"x2" logo.
MAGNIFICENT! Hi Drapela, would you mind telling us the deepness and stepover of the cuts? Thanks in advance.
Love the picture! Love the t-shirt.
Great job 👌 what is the bit size and relief hight in your software?
Like to see you do this now 5 years more experience in carving and see how you might change your approach. Also to see you program this.
what software are you using?
Now that's beyond!
Yes it’s crazy when it comes out!
What software are you using?
This video helped me out. Thank u
Can we got a step by step great video and beautiful art
Looks fantastic. What VBit and depth you use.
What was the DOC on that? I looked for a video with the details but didnt find one on your TH-cam page.
Have yo made a comparison of the v60 and the v90 bit?
Awesome … Which make of clear coat are you using for initial seal.
Did you ever try white poplar?
What depth did you cut to ?
Thank you for sharing process. i want to give this a try - it turned out very nice. Hard to get a sense of how deep the carving is and how much sanding can actually be done without messing up the effect of the paint. I like the idea of the drum sander - but as you sad would be afraid of destroying what was so well created to start with. Have you gotten any more experience since producing the video? Any additional hints on the sanding process? Any idea, how would this picture turn out on a 12x13 piece of maple or other hardwood? One again well done.
Pretty new here. Great Work! Just wondering how or what program you used to take the color image and convert it to black and white? Thanks
This is a built in feature of Vectric cnc software.
Any updates on the how to? Is it a vcarve photo? I have vcarve desktop, thinking About upgrading to pro
black spray name ??
What max depth did you set on the bit and did you put any kind of sealer over the finished carving? Thanks.
Max depth is the key but he kept that info for himself. So basically useless video.
Great video, I am thinking of doing some Photo Vcarving projects for Xmas this year. Have you ever thought of pre-staining the wood first and then doing the Vcarve afterwards? Just a thought, I may try as a sample project.
What version of vcarve did you use? Would Aspire 9.5 work for this? Nice Job by the way
I just engrave a photograph but i can't see anything. I use a v-bit 90°. Any advice? I just normal to not see anything before painting?
Vector software? Possible in easel? Thx
*Great Job 👍*
Your method of using black spray paint works great much better and easier than stain. Thanks
can you help me with clear procedure on making the art picture please
What was the software used to make a better image to use with the cnc?
No software used the only thing I did was take a high-quality photo from google and paste it into Aspire.
This came out great I tried it a few times but dint come out that good. I don’t see the video with your settings on your Chanel
congratulations on your work. which route did you use in aspire vectric?can i make granite stone?
Clear coat, that was the ah ha moment for me, I only tries one and I used stain that penitrated so fast I had to sand off so much it ruined it. Thank you.
Can you tell us what Laguna Model you have.....?... PLease.
It's the 2x3 foot model.
Are you planning to do one with the drum sander?
How do you control how deep the v bit goes in?
It's quite tricky. The max depth of the v bit can be set but overall this depends on a few things.. the degree and size of your bit but also the line spacing. If you set the line spacing to sparse the bit can go deeper. So basically it's a play off between detail and depth. More detail less depth.. less detail more depth.
Hope this helps
@@jamestottle3199 Thank you
can you give as a down load the plans for and all you need to make this Engraving
As mentioned before well done. Are you goiyto make video on software programming in vcarve setup to get these results? Aldo noticed your Laguna CNC dust boot. My original had bristle brushes fall apart. Looks like you may have replaced yours with some sort of vinyl sweep material. If so, can you tell me what it is and where you got it?
This came out great! :)
@@cutting-it-close hey... where is that video on your channel?
Did you use a 1/4 '' 90º VBit?
60 degree V bit.
When you say clear coat you mean any clear coat or is there a specific kind of clear coat that needs to be used
Sanding sealer, or polyurethane, or lacquer.
Just wanted to let you know . It does work . Ty for your inspiration.
When sanding, are you trying to eliminate all the lines or just knock off the rough edges?
The first sanding is to remove all the curly bits from the carve. The second sanding is to remove the paint from the surface, taking care not to sand down into the carved areas.
Awesome job!
Awesome work and creativity. One caution, the sand that comes off the sandpaper can get on your linear rails and really mess things up.
Very cool! Never seen this done before.
after cutting it, you should have put on another seal coat before painting. This would have sealed the cut areas which would also keep the paint from bleeding since those fibers were opened up by the bit during cutting. :)
Have you done that yourself?
@@acerjuglans383 absolutely or I wouldn't have mentioned it there Ace
and what are the numbers of the grinding discs?
bonjour quelle est le type de fraise que vous utilisez et combien de temps laissez vous secher le modele tres beau travail desole je ne parle pas votre langue merci de me repondre ce serai sympa
what was cost of john wayne ? and did you get all the cuts to make him ?
merhaba kullanılan malzeme nedir bilgi alabilirmiyim
What software do you used? And how do I get it im new in this i have a shapeoko cnc
I used Vectric Aspire, V carve Pro may have this capability as well.
What type of wood do you use ?
Soft maple, he said it at the start.
How about doing this for Dad Kelly dawn brown
Did you do a surfacing pass on the glued up maple before carving?
Hola, impresionante el trabajo. Me podrías decir cual es el máximo de Z?
Gracias
normally for a 30 deg V bit use a 0.2 or 0.3 mm depth with steps of 0.3 mm or 3 lines per mm. All depends how much resolution you want to achieve. I use "dmap2gcode" to get the Gcode. It is free and simple to use. Vectric also has that feature but never tried.
As a rule of thumb you generally don't want to sand and spray on a CNC machine.
Agreed it was just for video purposes, didn’t have good lighting anywhere else.
This came out amazing! Can’t wait for the full process video on how to do on the software as well
Drapela Works thanks I’ll check it out!!!
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Jericho Kayson Instablaster :)
@Kristopher Zachariah thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Kristopher Zachariah It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
was wondering about the settings for the carving ?
@@cutting-it-close Great video, Where would I find that new video showing how you did it? Thanks
what Pattern and Software did you use ?? would Love to see the entire process from start on computer, till when you started the carve
Nice work, but it is not good idea to sand on CNC machine. Abrasive particles lay on mechanical parts, rails and so on.
Haw did tool path
knowing the depth of cut for the 60 degree vbit is a key and was left out.
This is the part I'm having trouble with im thinking I should go deeper
How??? He didn’t explain how to set up . I give you a thumb down :((
How?
@@cutting-it-close I do not see the video of how it was done, can you provide a link please?
This is impossible to watch
Why
There's no skill in that ... it was done mechanically NOT manually...... NO SKILL AT ALL !!
Let’s see a video of you doing it manually at that quality.
Really?
What depth of cut would you use?
What spindle speed would you use?
What feed rate would you use?
Would you use a 2, 3 or 4 flute bit?
Would it be better to use HSS or Carbide bit?
Would you have chosen soft maple?
would you have used oil based paint?
Would you have sealed the soft maple prior to cutting?
Those decisions are made based on SKILL and knowledge of both materials and CNC machining.
I will admit that there were no precise dovetails cut using a Japanese saw, but his skill happens to be in a different craft.
Great work!
