@@strikefighter0497 Still, in a book that I read some months ago it´s described as the most versatile aircraft of ww2 and it´s a myth that it didn´t do well in day time combat. In fact it shot down more aircraft than ME109 at this time against both Hurricane and Spitfire. ME110 were far superior in speed to the Hurricane and about equal to both ME109 and Spitfire at this time 1940. Jabs had for example 17 victories in September 1940. It´s true that ME110 was not as maneuverable as Hurricane or the Spitfire but the fightings did not look like the battles in ww1 but either the enemy dived down on us with the sun in the back or we on them as pilot Hubert "Dizzy" Allen describe it and he fought in a spitfire during Battle of Britain. And ME110 was built for this kind of battle. It´s tru that they could have escort by ME109 but that was when ME110 was used as a bomber and on a bomber raid.
