Today is the 34th death anniversary of my best friend, since kindergarten, who I cared for through his illness. He lived @18 months after his diagnosis. He cried so many tears during the early months...which transitioned into a quiet acceptance of his impending death...at 36 years old. I'm soooo grateful for these times we are living in.....those days were so dark...and very sad. Back then....I just didn't see how it could get better.....treating this infection was so complex. Thank you, thank you again, Peter...for sharing your experiences, and overcoming the stigma of hiv.
Bless you my precious friend for sharing this with me. I do this in the Hope of helping others who are living with this virus, and also educating the public about HIV. Hello peter me and my wife going through fertility and just found out i am hiv positive we have been together since 2016 and recently married. Ive had no symptoms other than recent nerve pain. Could i have had hiv that long??? My wife is negative. Also i did have a partner in 2014 which cheated on me but i wouldn't dream that would of caused hiv to this date. Not sure how to deal with this news to be honest any advice?
Hello my friend. They should be able to give you a rough idea how long you may of had HIV at the clinic. They told me I may have had it between 6 months and three years.
@Peter.c106 OK just trying to reassure the wife that I have been totally faithful to her. I wouldn't dream of that I love my wife dearly. I just can't believe I've had no symptoms at all and I've only been with my wife since 2016.
Respected sir please reply me . I had an exposure with prostitution . At 3rd month of exposure I had hiv1/2 p24 antigen serum test which was negative . And at 4th month I had done hiv1/2 eclia test which also come negative . And now finally at 6th month I had my hiv1/2 antibody test which was also negative . Respected sir but I am having all symptoms of hiv like extreme weakness sore throat lymph node on neck red rash body pain fever. Pls tell me is this all related to hiv . Please reply me sir . I will wait for your response
I got infected in May 2023 because I didn't take PrEP properly. I was surprised but not depressed. Today I don't even think about it. My latest test result was undetectable, my cholesterol is fine, it's all good.
@@FlavioMarceloSousa35 I was certainly in shock for sometime, but like you I don’t really think about it now apart from when I visit the clinic every six months.
Hi Peter, in August I was 30 years hiv positive. I was 34 years old when I was tested. Since 1996 I have been undetectable. I take my medication every day and don't think about it. I feel healthy and am in the middle of life and yet I am always relieved when after a blood test everything is fine again. I wish you a beautiful and healthy life together with your family.
As a woman who was extremely sexual promiscuous from 1998 until 2015 I have no idea how I've never had an STD I would test regularly for negative HIV but still continued to have unprotected sex. Women lie to their doctors about their sexual activity out of being judged. All STD come with symptoms.
