Feast for Odin, Agricola, and Nusfjord might very well be Rosenberg's games with the most depth and replayablilty of the lot. I would list them at the very least as "buy", if not "essential". Nevertheless, great and entertaining episode guys.

I agree. Nusfjord is amazing. At first, I was uninterested. Three years later, I'm thouroughly impressed.

You lost a lot of credibility when you started talking about Nusfjord, it’s a solid game and a great design. It felt like mindless bashing...Your critic of A feast for Odin is also weird. I did not like the general vibe of this video.

Weird that you didn’t mention the Agricola and Reykholt hate

      Felt super pretentious no?

The real essential Rosenberg games are: Feast for Odin, Patchwork, Agricola.

Interesting! I would totally swap Patchwork and New York Zoo. Not sure why but PW never clicked but I recently enjoyed a number of plays of NYZ. Thanks for the list! Enjoyed :)

Love to see different opinions! I totally agree with patchwork, I love Bohnanza every time I play but sadly don't play it often. Feast for Odin and Agricola are my two favorite games, seems I should check out Fields of Arle

Nice list. I like the graph a lot.
I’d swap Nova Luna and Patchwork personally. It has a similar yet better puzzle with a smaller table footprint and plays 2-4
Nusfjord and Feast would be essential for me as well.

    Enjoyed the video!
Surprised y’all didn’t mention that a number of his worker placement games are well regarded at 2p in addition to Fields of Arle, including Hallertau, Agricola, and Le Havre. For what it’s worth, I think Underwater Cities might be my favorite heavier worker placement game for 2p though I haven’t played most of the heavier Uwe games at 2 yet.
I also really like Agricola: ACB&S for what it is - quick and light 2p game that is a good filler or way to introduce worker placement to newer players/non-gamers. I play it often with my wife whereas I would not play most of his big-box games with her. It feels more like Caverna than does Cave vs. Cave to me, since Cave vs. Cave is like worker placement meets engine building.

Reykholt does it’s job so well. Family weight version of his bigger box farming games. Great game.
Obviously Agricola and Feast for Odin are absolutely amazing and his top two, and you should both feel bad for hating one of the two 😂 Caverna is also amazing but not essential since Agricola and aFfO exist and can scratch that itch on either end of the scale (not that they completely replace it though, sometimes I just want that pared down fusion)
I don’t like Le Havre much and am always stunned about how much people like it. But I guess I’m in the vast minority. Le Havre Inland Port though was absolute trash imo and should definitely be burnt.
I love small box two player Agricola
Indian Summer is the best of the trilogy imo and makes the other two obsolete for me - though I could easily live without any of them so mostly agree with you there
I’m curious to try Hengist one day just to see how bad it is lol

Dang, the one Uwe Rosenberg game I own didn’t even make the list! Pour one out for Nottingham

I loved this tier list. I’m relatively new to board gaming but I have to say I just played Feast for Odin and it was my first game I played above the 3 in complexity on BGG, so my first heavy game. I absolutely loved it and it opened my eyes to heavy gaming. Before the most complex thing I played was wingspan and villainous. Now, I’m not a fan of the fiddly nature of feast but I do love it. If there’s another game as great as feast without a million pieces I may love it even more

I own hundreds of board games. Agricola is in my top 5 all time. You could give it a decent rating just based on its impact to gaming. The revised edition is better.

Uwe Rosenberg : Boring, lackluster, outdated Euro Games with completely uninteresting themes. With early 90s graphics.
