Highways in Thailand are not free. Grab TH also does NOT include the highway fee. It's even stated in the app. You always need to notify the drivers ahead and agree to pay separately if you want to use the highways, regardless of the app route. Otherwise, no drivers would take the highways. Cheers!
Thank you for the input! We are aware that there are toll fees for super highways , we have tried in paying extra in our previous visit. we paid for the route shown in Grab app, not the long way (his way) .. I just realized that maybe there was a miscommunication as most drivers could not express well in English. Thanks again!
