    Thank you for the mention! Great stream showing the experimentation and real world hiccups that can happen when using a laser. It isn't always as easy as these perfectly edited YT videos most people publish.

      You bet Geo! I have never heard of the Raycus having that problem! So it's a good thing I did this stream and Patrick knew the problem. Oh, and thanks for the conversions Sir! 👍

      @@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy You are welcome. Thank you for helping me test it. I am looking forward to getting this converter proven out and released to the public.

    Gents... its why you have a threaded bed, in order to position your work... make set blocks for example ?? this is how i do all my fiber laser work, then you cannot be out, no matter how many you make....

    Rich, wished you were close to me to help me with Lightburn! I was a machinist for 45 yrs and programmed cnc machines but Lightburn is a different animal to this old dog! Forced into retirement! I bought an Ortur LM2 LU1-4, to play with.

    Ungroup and hatch separately then run as needed...

  • @Nightowllaser_ZA
    @Nightowllaser_ZA 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hi Rich, when working with fiber often you will import and ungroup an image/object, often there are leftover "curves" under the work you are working with at this point, these leftover curves will mess your hatching and engraving around all day, after hatching the parts you need then delete additional curves, for fiber it is easier to do this in EZC2 or Coral, Lightburn cannot as yet...
    , also in this video your settings for brass are way out, how do i send the correct ones to you ?

    • @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
      @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the info! My settings have changed dramatically since this video, thanks!

  • @Nightowllaser_ZA
    @Nightowllaser_ZA 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Dont use negative hatch either, also a waste of time... download a 360 degree image and align to your machine bed, easiest...

  • @Nightowllaser_ZA
    @Nightowllaser_ZA 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    (also never ever use less than 50w, they are a waste of time...)

      I love this laser for business cards, leather, and all sorts of small gift items.
