Always amused when people are blown away by the Cardova for the first time! Yep it's a great tent especially for the price point. Made in Germany I believe. We have been using ours for 3 years now. Handles high wind acceptably and it just laughs at heavy rain. Just be mindful of the wind direction when pitching. They are still rare in the UK.

Just bought one. Sounds like I made a good choice picking one up. I was mostly conserned with how it handle rain so I thank you for sharing your thoughts about it.

@@LegoLazze We have had our 2 out in at least one named storm and a very violent 18 hour long thunder and rainstorm that hit east sussex a couple of summers ago, that dumped about 70+mm of rain. Not to mention just ordinary heavy rain. Never any issues .The seams are sealed well. Condensation is also non existent in my experience due to the mesh. As I say, just pitch into the wind as much as you can, and try to use cover. This is NOT a tent I would take to the Peak District but it is good enough for wooded terrain with some wind protection, although it can take 30 mph gusts at the very max if pointing into the wind. It's not a warm tent so if taking it out in spring/autumn make sure your sleep system is good. It's a 2.5 season really. ATB.

it's good to see positive comments about this tent, I just noticed the olive coloured version is £32 on Amazon at the moment so think I'm going to have to buy one!

@@giftedandbroke This is probably the best budget 2 season tent out there with no serious design vices. Only things are single fibreglass pole and lack of vestibule, and you need a good sleep system because they are all mesh inner. Vestibule prob is easily fixed with a small tarp. Andes 2x2m works fine. I would prefer alloy pole but the FG is well made. It may splinter in cold weather but never use this tent outside a mild autumn/spring! Make sure the fly is guyed out taught, with a good gap between inner and fly. We have the F10 Erebus 3+ tunnel which is a high end tent and 4 season, and 2 Naturehike Cloud Up 2 which comes in at 1.9k and are more 3.5 season lightweights, with a vestibule and alloy poles. We need to test these. They seem a natural upgrade. Similar internal size and profile. That said, we are still VERY fond of our Cardova's. Many happy trips with them. Both are wearing out a bit, one with wonky zip, other with mesh beginning to go, but we got 3 yrs hard use from them. We will buy 2 more, because they are fun! ATB.
