Love your videos Chris. Would be great to see you fishing too, as a really keen angler there is nothing nicer than watching a float sail away and a resulting fish on the bank. It really enhances the watching experience.

Just came across your video.well presented and very clear.
i fish weedy gravel pits in and around oxfordshire.
    Your lake looks idyllic.

#ChrisMiller I would just like to say a big thank you for this and your other tench videos. I am English, but I live outin Portugal, and although they do have tench here, I've never seen one. I really miss the sunrises fishing for tench back in the UK.

Hi great video, did you have straighten the teeth out on both rakes before connecting them?
    Thanks

Hi Mike, no, I just put them back to back after drilling a hole through each head. I bought the rake heads from B&Q and they were good to go after hacksawing off the sockets for the handle. I guess it depends what rake heads you can buy. Tight lines

Another good video. I made my own rake years ago and always use it when tench fishing. Seems to have fallen out of fashion these days though.

Thanks Jason, yes I agree, although it makes a bit of a splash the tench move into the swim soon afterwards, tight lines

Very good Chris. Particularly liked the attention to taking care of the aquatic environment. Nice one!

Thanks Jon, it’s surprising what you find in the weed that the rake brings back, tight lines

Do you just through the rake in and rake it once or will it need a few rakes please? Really liking your videos and your techniques and tips are excellent 👍🎣

Thanks Julie, raking the swim can help, even if there’s no weed in the swim. Sometimes I just pull the rake through once to stir up the bottom to attract the tench. Other times, you can be there for ages clearing weed out of the swim. Last week I gave up on a swim after 45 minutes of dragging weed, silt and smelly stuff - I was soaked. Tight lines
