Hardest thing for me in the hammock is staying awake once in it and getting up in the morning...i always lay on my side, cuddle up to my top quilt and go back to sleep again 😂 Great video, if it has a hammock in, I'll watch it. Interesting with the ruins and church. Have a Manor house here called Scadbury Manor. Supposed to be haunted, but I've never seen anything. If te moat were accessible, I'd hammock near it and use the water from the moat by putting it through my GRAYL geopress to purify it. Hope you make another of these hammock camps
Thankyou Steve glad you liked the video. Yeh, the Hammock is a wonderful thing. Sometimes if I go camping early, I take a nap in it without the tarp on in the sun.
Bring a pair of metal tongs, it just makes campfire cooking so much easier, rather than losing food in the fire, lol. Enjoyed the trip to the abandoned building, what was interesting is i could not see any graffiti, normally that sort of place is covered in it.
@@rfc5544 i have one i use with a bushbox, works great, but i always end up burning the plastic handles when i use it on an open fire, probably too much beer, lol.

Hey Robert, really glad you are inspired to get out wild camping. The forest I usually use is a large public forest so I don't ask for permission. Best idea for you mate is have a look on Google earth and try find a good forest around your area 👍

I bought a toastie maker has changed everything for me. Straight in the fire can cook everything in it no matter how many beers 😅

I've cooked duck breasts, steaks, tortillas, full English, but yeah plastic fire beer not a good combo 😂
