It meant Steelers only had to cover 3 receivers medium to deep and could run up to tackle any underneath routes or Lamar scrambles. Also when Steeler rushed Lamar they stayed disciplined. They rarely went beyond him and instead tried to stay in front of him to not give him easy escape routes.
