The best decision I made for myself today was to cycle to my mom and dads, which is about 30min one way. My dad is in the hospital right now and my mom was feeling lonely so I went to visit to make her feel better (and for me too). My heart needed to make sure she was okay, I also went to see my dad at the hospital and he's going to be fine. My brain needed to see that to believe it. x Marieke

Omg! My son is the same way! We went to Banff last year and did some very mild hikes (like walking around a lake) and you would have through the was going to die from exposure or bears or both. And yes, he tells me his legs are going to fall off whenever he rides his bike 😝🤦🏽♀️
my bf works at a bike shop and they are having a hard time getting new bikes in. They're also crazy busy with repairs on everything people can drag out of the basement & garage. It's great to see everyone on bikes. But wow. I hope that this is not the end of a new trend to get back on bikes.

There’s not much to it. I was walking to my journaling desk one day and I stepped on something that I thought was a lego, but then I picked it up and it was a very teeny tiny little arm. It was so random it made me laugh. I was filming a video and I mentioned it. Somehow she just stuck around on my desk. She’s like my channel mascot now.😉😂

Poor Henry! lol As terrible as his experience was it was funny to listen to! We've all been there - I remember being dragged around IKEA as a kid (which I LOVE now btw) and standing at the cutlery sets for what felt like HOURS as my parents deliberated over which set to get. I made them pay by some spectacular whinging in the car home :D He'll remember that fateful soggy danger filled (murder hornets! like WTAF!!) bike ride forever! :D :D And Addie playing with make up was too cute - I bet you though, give her a few years and she will be a pro. I swear teenagers are rocking contouring and all kinds of sh!t that I would never be able to do now at 32 let alone at 13!! Madness. I too suck at cateyes (one eye goes great - I gain confidence and think 'Yea, I got this - it's gonna be awesome' - then I attempt the second eye and look deranged as they don't match - why don't they ever match!? Are my eyes wonky?! Anyway - great video as always and gorgeous journalling. I'd love to know the name of that book - that quote about the next good decision really resonated with me.

"Stable is a place where horses live" haha that's funny. Actually some time ago I was trying to find out how big a horses brain was (long story). Never found an answer but probably because horses come in all sizes from miniature to Clydesdale. However!! I did find something about how a horse kept in a stable all the time will have Brain SHRINKAGE. Horses are Herd animals. They need to be in a herd, foraging for food, using their senses, making relationships with the other horses, sniffing for predators. They are awake 22 hours of the day. Keeping them cooped up is really BAD for them. Pretty sure my brain has shrunk, I can almost picture it rattling around up there.

My son is the exact same, except instead of whining and crying he will usually just yell and scream at me about how terrible it all is when I force him out on his bike. Keeping a journal is definitely the best way to keep on top of your feelings and stay motivated! When you write things down you get everything out of your head and can deal with it better. Also, those stickers are so pretty!

He has a scooter! He does like that, but alas his legs also get tired🤣 I just use the iMovie app that came on my phone and I film with my iPhone too.
