Before this file there was a bug when playing the game on high settings after about 30 minutes the fps drops to 5 (at this point the video card was 45 degrees, there is no throttling or breakdown of the video card itself) and it becomes impossible to play this, only a complete restart of the game helps, but with this file playing the game for more than 2 hours there were no fps drops at all. its defenitely not normal that u need FSR/ DLSS and frame generation to get 60+ fps on good hardware.
especially if the game graphics of the game dont justify the bad performance.
there are beautiful games who run like butter .. Battlefield 1, Star Wars Battlefront with real life mod, DOOM
then we have games that perform relatively well .. Red Dead 2, Resident Evil 4 remake, Metro Exodus
and then we have games like Starfield, Cyberpunk, Black Myth and Stalker .. or literally any UE5 game nowadays.
i had high hopes in UE5 but if any game with that engine performs like that, i dont want this engine anymore.
the devs of Assetto Corsa Evo also wanted to use UE5. But they ditched it due to the bad performance and used a in house made engine. (luckely)
@@Maximum-Technik I ageee, Unreal Engine 5 is wild in what it demands. As a developer I would almost just say nah, UE4 lol.
And plenty of games you listed certainly run like butter. Heck, I was just playing RDR2 prior to Stalker 2 releasing and it was baby skin smooth.
However, I’ll just say MANY amazing games have had these same performance issues as well but, once fixed, became sensational. Ergo, no DLSS needed…
Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk to name two.
Thanks soo much
