    It's great, you guys have a fully equipped mobile home. Your camping trips will be safe when living in the wild. I also want the Vietnamese government to allow this mobile home-style car to be circulated, so that we can own and make our camping trips like you

      @nowhereboundtouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that would be great if they allowed you to have camper vans etc. Then we could bring our truck over it fits in a container for shipping. We always camped like you until the last year, we sold everything to see our beautiful Australia we are very lucky. Vietnam looks amazing also.

    I hadn’t seen this one - have not been up that way since the 1970’s, but the thing about “our backyard” - some landscapes still just seem like they’re unchanging … Parachilna gorge, and the old pub at Blinman live large in a memory from 40 odd years ago, for me, so that was ‘novel’. 👏🏻👏🏻

    • @nowhereboundtouring
      @nowhereboundtouring  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carole,
      You are correct, I don’t think Parachilna gorge will ever look different and the pub is hopefully around for a lot longer too.
      We are glad you enjoyed it.
      Cheers, karl & katty

    Have recently discovered your channel, and really enjoying your videos. Because of the rig you have chosen, which enables you to travel to a lot of places un-reachable to a lot of travellers, and this is really adding lots of interest and enjoyment to your videos. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing more. Keep travelling, and stay safe.

      Hi Ian, glad you found us and enjoy what we are doing. We definitely want to find the unusual locations and challenge the idea of how people lap Australia. Most don't even scratch the surface.

    Regarding the damage to the foot of the electric stand....I have an identical set-up on my Bushtracker, but because I was concerned about THAT happening to mine, I used three longer bolts (about 75mm longer) to mount the leg to the frame and added 75mm spacer tubes between the frame and the round mounting base plate of the electric leg. It raises the foot right up out of harms way.

      Hi Bill, thanks any chance of seeing a picture sounds like a great solution. We had it mended in Leigh Creek but we are sure it will happen again. Karl has been toying with some similar ideas would be great to see one already altered.
      Cheers Katty

    Nice footage! Lovely but rugged neck of the woods.
    I was surprised you didn't whip out a stick welder to fix the cracked mount. (Or is that aluminium?)
    The American C&W doesn't sit well with the Australian outback...maybe just me.
    You mentioned dump points, so I presume you have a chemical toilet. I'm investigating composting toilets - any thoughts?
    Cheers and thanks again for a wonderful episode.

    • @nowhereboundtouring
      @nowhereboundtouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Benny, thanks for watching. Karl looked into the composting toilet but seemed like a hassle being that you have to seperate your ones and twos. We have a cassette toilet with spare cassette, we don't use chemicals in it and it is fine. By doing that we can bury in the bush if need to, as it already has broken down. We would choose cassette again if had to pick.
      Karl wanted to carry a full welder but weight dictated that we could not. The mount is steel.
      Cheers Katty

      Hi Ian,
      Two things I have noticed:
      I would suggest the 25000lb winch, instead of the 17000lb one.
      The 17” wheel combination is only suitable ( from my experience) for a lighter vehicle, under 6.4t . The 37” tyres available for this size can not handle the load.
      Cheers, karl
