This is so great! I am so happy to see you all go through the grammar stage. I am going to call this week so I can finalize everything for my 4th and 6th grader. Thanks so much. Please do high school as well. There is just not enough information about MP on the interwebs, so thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks for another great video. I especially appreciate the development goals and information you provide. Pretty please follow up with a part three for 7th, 8th and high school.
How integrated is the Christian Studies with the rest of the program? I am thinking of switching it out for a Catholic program. I’m just afraid that I may miss any connections you have put in the discussion questions.
Olivia, thank you for your comment! Christian Studies is not integrated directly into other subjects. We treat Christian Studies as an academically rigorous course on the same level as other subjects, so it really stands alone. Basically, our goal is to walk students through the Bible stories in K-2 with a very simple children's Bible, and then we walk through it again in 3-7 using the Golden Children's Bible and a study guide. So by the end of grammar school, students have been through a condensed Bible twice and studied all the major characters and events. They are responsible for map work, timeline dates, and comprehension of the events. You can easily sub your own program in for this or supplement with another program. We don't teach any doctrine in our Christian studies classes; we believe that is the role of the parents and your church.
