Phenomenal catch, very good job collecting all of these unmarked vehicles. How did you know they were counter terror?

@@british999vehicles That doesn't define the purpose of a vehicle and it's use or who is inside it! I have known armed officers that will get in to unmarked X5s and also in to what used to be known as a Panda car, something like a Hyundai i10. It depends what they are doing or the cars available on the day.
Lighting setup is dependant on the company that fits them, not the use of a vehicle. Each company has their preferred way of fitting lights and trademarked patterns for this. Not many companies fit-out police vehicles now, a lot of it has gone to their own garages to do.
Police vehicles are quite different to what the public buy. For example, the ride height is higher, suspension stiffer, there are bigger alternators and batteries, more wiring looms fitted for radio and equipment use, anti-theft systems to allow engines to stay running when parked but not to allow the vehicle to be driven, trays and sump guards underneath, steel wheels sometimes too. Many base models are fitted with aircon and hard wearing vinyl seats and some have plastic back seats.
When 55w bulbs used to be a thing, cars would have HID fitted.
Some of the covert cars have switches to kill all internal lighting, also switch off the rear lights completely. They all have a ECU REMAP and various engine upgrades, but are not made to sound loud and offensive like boy racer cars.
I used to visit a company that did all this work when I did a lot of work with the radio systems, so got to see the cars.
Surveillance vehicles were fun, always bought from auctions with stickers and signs still on them. If you see works vehicles parked up for a while, you know there is a problem. The Iceland Home Delivery van was popular, so were BT vans.

Amazing, it’s the first time I’ve seen a government car service (GCS) sign in a car rather than a police sign on the galaxy.

Don't think you will see any BMW police cars anymore. Check out the reasons on a utube channel called Geoff buys cars.. I. Presumed it was a joke but no, due to the chance of catching fire, they've been sold off at auctions, after being made undriveable

@@nekotranslates explain that to the people waiting for the services to stop their house from burning, prevent their stuff being robbed or waiting for the ambulance to come save their life… for the sake of you possibly getting a fine so blocking them at a red light for a few minutes. If there’s cameras to catch you there’s cameras to argue the case and show why you went through

Does anyone know what the deal could be with the first Land Rover discovery at 3:18, who could that belong to and why does it only have a single dash mounted strobe?

    • @british999vehicles

on this day they needed a lot more vehicles then what was in the met fleet, so they brought/ hired loads if vehicles and turned them into make shift vehicles with dash lights.

seems to be alot of terrorism in london now but my issue is most of the people driving these cars are normel police there not gunned up or dressed in all black we can all see the white police shirts maybe 1 or 2 of them were counter terrorism but not all lad come on

I didn’t say CTSFO, i said CT which is different, you get CTSFO which are all kitted up firearms officers and you get CT which are officers that investigate Terrorism
