0:45 Due to global value chains, poverty dropped but the middle class did not swell in quite a considerable amount of countries. In some, povrrty even rose again. So insisting relative poverty was simply subjective while in fact absolute poverty sank due to globalisation is not all true.

Global chain can work if the parent company/country is not deprived of value of Intellectual Property. Developing countries need to improve its industry due to JV . Patents and designs need to be property of the inventors .Sevice is now a part of it .Service provided by developing countries and contributions of workers be recognised as the country keeps costs low providing more profit but to the developed countries.
    A balance has tobe struck.

The benefit of Global Value Chains will provide power to cause global economic change, and this change may go beyond the anticipated 50 percent growth especially seeing that not every country are yet currently involved in GVCs. If this revolution is embraced by many countries, then the rise in trade and growth shall exceed the current 50% said. GVCs may also try to scale down poverty as a result of rising up incomes, taking advantage of the market size, a space that determines as well global economic outcomes!

Lack of protection for IPRs is a massive problem that seriously needs to be addressed.
