A 2017 animation and a song that was meant for chapter 2 somehow perfectly captures BaTIM damn-near perfect. 2:32 The knockout from the fall transitioning into the dream, man. The dream itself, it really describes the mindset change Henry had taken between the first three chapters and the last two. He was merely looking for a way out, but soon took it upon himself to not just save Boris.. But to put a stop to it all. The scene where he opens the door and gets thrown in is kinda what I believe to be a perfect representation of the slow change of mind. And that last look of determination before the cut to the forest was just that kind of "I know what I have to do now" sort of thing. And the forest scene, how the cartoons basically spoke to him directly.. It just represents that sort of realization that Henry probably had when meeting Tom and Allison. The 'cartoons' in the studio aren't just creations anymore. The rising sequence also helps this, just giving off more a "they're living, and they shouldn't have to when this is the world they live in." And I wouldn't be surprised if Henry woke up like that in chapter 4, with that pure look of determination.

Source Film Maker doesn't come CLOSE to preparing an animator for the grueling work that goes into professional 3D animation. And even for SFM, this animation has a lot of flaws. I don't mean to devalue Coda's work in any way. Even if I pointed out a hundred animation errors in this video, I'm sure Coda would be able to point out a hundred more that I missed. After all, he's probably seen each shot a hundred times over with how much time he put into this (not to mention his broken arm, that's gotta be a detractor) Generally speaking, it's better to give an animator a wall of criticism then tell them they're Disney worthy after they've only been making videos for less than a year. Oh, and Coda, if you're reading this, I want you to know that I really appreciate you making this! It's always fun to see how these songs can be re-imagined by other people :) I hope your arm gets better, and remember to keep improving your craft no matter what!
A couple of Henry's movements/body proportions got a bit stiff/unrealistic, specifically during the endless falling part, but overall the animation was pretty well done. Definitely better than what I would've made.
Is anyone not going to ask how Coda predicted the future? He had the inky tunnel at 3:03, which didn't come until Chapter 4, WHICH WAS 5 MONTHS AFTER THIS ANIMATION! Coda predicted the future and he was right!
