what happens after you pull the lever? I pulled it and nothing happens other than the cog spins. I spent like an hour searching the rest of the level and nothing .. im at a loss and thats why I am here lol
You can cheese it I just discovered. If you build a platform from the main landing and dont connect it to the center stones, you can trigger the watcher, then just jump back and shoot his eye and the orcs and gobs wont spawn.
I just met the watcher as I was platforming around the right side so I buggered out, climbed up to the ceiling and made a walkway in between the stalactites and mocked the doomsquid from above it's reach. About to head back to rebuild when my bronze ingots are done. kinda wish I hadn't spent all my wood making bolts to kill it now.
So i discovered this after me and my friend died several times...you can shoot it with a crossbow/bow. Aim for the eyes, once all the eyes have been hit its gone x.x...such a tilting experience

Damn. I lost 30 minutes running around to search for the rest of the cogs. I thought it was like the first anvil you rebuilt. Parts were laying around. Dind't have to make them myself.
Thank you for this video! I am stuck in this place for one day and finally I passed this damned watcher coz I do not have the recipe of crossbow! I put all the armor and died at the small waterfall, then I put on a set of another armor and make it, remember just run through the top of the waterfall and NEVER look back!
@GamersHeroes ah OK I figured there may be a way to seal them as when you find the first one they say something about the cursed mist and maybe you can find a way to stop it. It's kinda hard because I'm in the mines just after the elven forest part and there is a troll and that mist.blocking my way
You need to build something called Durin's lamp. (Only reason i know of it is that one of them spawned near the start of the game for me. This causes the mist to go down. However, i think it will take ages to learn how to craft it. (Since it might be near the end of the game)
@jakamoo1990 just use your quick platforms for mining and walk over the mist with thos thats how my buddy and i get past it, you can usually even reach grabbing stuff on the ground while being above it on the platforms
- Fighting the watcher is a good way to farm bats if you need the bat poop. If you draw the watcher up and he spawns all those orcs, kill just a few then run away towards the map stones. The orcs will switch to bow and arrows and some bats should also spawn to harass you. I guess they count as some kind of ranged attack when you're out of reach of regular orcs. - Hearth is pronounced Harth not Herth. - You should also find the large cogwheel laying around for you to insert, It seems they already did it in this video. - I only needed to craft 2 pipes as I found one there already as well.

What difficulty (story or easy will be extremely easy) I did it solo on normal got hit and nothing happened ( I must have been extremely lucky or I was close enough not to be hit. It was mostly dark the watcher destroyed my torches) the crossbow is 10x better than the bow!!! The next thing I am looking for are emeralds for enchanted Axe
Just finished this, I THINK the orcs are spawning because you didn't kill the watcher, he summons them...i used 3 crossbow bolts to kill him and am currently building my new base INSIDE the drain building
@drizzydaniell6907 draining does nothing to the water around the drain...the only issue I've had has been roaming patrols, which are usually only 3 or 5 orcs at a time spawning behind the pump house...easy enough to kill
Shoot it with a First Age Crossbow in red a guess you can call them eyes, on top of his head, think there are four of them one after the other, my advice is shoot last one first, the furthest one. Cause there will be waves of Orcs and try not to get to close cause he will wave thoes tentacles of his, and they can strip you of you armor in no time

Didnt work. just use first Age crossbow and first age arrows to kell it. target red dots on the back. take a note... there will be LOOOOTS of orcs when you hit the spot so good luck.
I killed the Watcher. A few bolts from the First Age Crossbow to the red eyes, and easy-peasy. I also built some ramps over the shadow.

Only the crossbow works. I got the message the bow is not strong enough

I’ve replaced the pipes and pulled the lever do I absolutely have to kill the watcher ?
Just did it and the first campfire works. Clapped The Watchers cheeks with a First Age Crossbow.
Is there a way to seal those holes that spew out the purple gas? And is there a way to see if you've found all statues in a zone
There is a helmet you can make WAY later in the game that counters the mist, I believe. No on the statues unfortunately

Once you start getting iron and coal from statues, you found all the recipes, if that helps.

You mean the huge pit? You have to bring healing items to heal through it. We've not found another way

before you get the recipe you can find them by killing orks and looting them and their chests
FYI, you can kill the stupid squid. get the grossbow and one bolt per eye. done. watch for mobs
The first era sword is good against those mobs especially with orcbane enchantment!!!

@@janjay7224 I restarted. Quest area with water, pumps and Watcher did not spawn on my map. Without it the grate won't open.
