I think the scene/rock lights were some of the most useful lights I have added to the Tacoma. Extremely useful not only for at camp but also running the trails.
Love the content! Style and pace is on point, keep it up. As for exceeding the roof "weight limit" on either Jeep GC, by adding a stronger wider / weight distribution rack/platform to the roof. A few on the market now.. Do you feel confident with the weight, do you have an estimate weight on either GC? Any damage or signs of stress to the roof bolt posts or roof? I would like to create a similar setup, however just haven't seen the long term impact of the risk. Looking to add the hard top tent and awning, just been looking for ultralite just in case, been tough to stay under 150lbs.. Also curious, what rack is on the GC from the earlier videos, with the iKamper? Love to see it with the awning, great setup for what we need. Quick question since I have one too. I asked Switch Pros if it was okay to mount the SP9100 to the jump terminals under the hood. They said it was okay as long as I disconnected it if I needed to jump the car. Was this a factor when you decided to route the battery cable to the actual battery or did you get different info? Mine arrives today and I’ll install it tomorrow morning. Figured I’d ask you since you have the same setup.
Good thing they host the event annually! I hear their south location will also be having one as well later this year, might have to make the trip down so we can party 🤘🍻
Hello - I went to uptop overland and they don’t show a roof rack for the Grand Cherokee at all. Can you provide some guidance on what / how you got this rack for your truck?
I worked with upTOP in an effort for bringing this rack to market and from that the current rack I have is a prototype… I’ve personally reached out to upTOP on numerous occasions asking updates on this projects and have been told the same answer every time, “we are working on it.” That has been since October of 2023… Totally understand your frustration and I’m personally a bit upset to see any lack of effort on this rack going into production, even after reaching out on behalf of several Grand Cherokee owners… Try reaching out to the owner at this email and see if any new updates have been or will be made: Micah Williams micah@uptopoverland.com
