How to use Custom Field Function in Ansys Fluent

In lots of problems, you should implement the initial values into your problem. If you don't know how to do this, this tutorial is made for you.
In this tutorial, I teach how to make a Custom Field Function, and how to implement that in the project.
The use of Field functions, not limited to pressure but also you can use this procedure in other projects by using Energy equations, Multiphase flow, etc.

Is it doing before running or after it ? I want to custom this equation( velocity ^2/2g +y) here velocity and y not for all domain I want to calculate it for water phase only how can custom it .
My domain is 2 phase water and air .

you should define the field function before initialization and declare it after initialization - before running - and then run your project

Hi, do you know how to set volume fraction using field function? I have a rectangular domain 190 meters tall and I wish to set the initial water height to 175 meters.

You do not need to use a field function for setting initial height of water. Create a cell register where you can set the coordinates for height of 175 m. Initialize with 0 water for entire domain and then patch the cell register with volume fraction 1 - water
