I must say you genuinely react to videos not like others. You actually understands each and every bit of the song. A must share channel blessed be love ❤️
I'm really happy to have found your channel, I've noticed that you notice the little things that most people wouldn't whether it's jewellery, clothing, instruments, sounds or equipment and most importantly you get the poetry. You also noticed that Coke Studios gives anyone that has the talent and courage to get up on stage like this a platform. They aren't perfect and no one is immune to politics and they have made mistakes picking the wrong people on occasions when there was someone more suitable for a particular arrangement. The fact that it's taken them 14 seasons to bring 2 of the biggest female living legends together is criminal to say the least. Boy was it worth the wait!
14:10 Abida Parveen is not just a singer or any musical title she may hold, she is a modern day Sufi and her music is supposed to be a way to express that. Although, large performances and a more commercial approach recently have led people to believe that she is just another commercial singer, but in many ways I personally draw parallels to her personality with Rumi who brought his whirling dervishes to the forefront to not just be a personal prayer but something for all beings to appreciate and become a part of. Abida has performed in languages other than the languages used in South Asia too and in Churches and other places of worship, to bring all spiritual beings together.
Really enjoyed your reaction. I'm from Leicester and it's great to see Brits reacting to this music and truly enjoy it. I agree about the emotions. I've listened to this song so many times and still feel the emotion and soul.
Jhoom word means swing/sway/wave also and (jhūm-nā), s.m. Swaying, waving, undulating; abundance of foliage, in this song Tu Jhoom means "just sway in ecstasy.... (lose yourself)"
It brings tears in my eyes whenever I listen to this song N btw this is the best tht I have seen someone react to this song n appreaciate this song ❤ Love n peace brother❤
Welcome back Jonny Law ,Thank yew so much on reacting Tu Jhoom . It's very spiritual song and gives Sufi vibes. I'm huge fan of Abida Parveen. Please react to Abida's song" Ye sub tumahra Karam hai Aqa "
I first met Abida jee in 1984.. It's almost a 40yr love affair with this amazing soul. Naseebo Lal is also a great person down to earth with a genuine talent and appreciation for music. Thank you for your reaction.
Both of em are Legend artist in not only Pakistan but whole Subcontinent. West might not recognize em or their work but U saw how seamlessly our music and our artists blend the fusion of West and East. Over [ast decade Coke Studio has introduced the world to whole new Genre of Music IMO
The word "Jhoom" is actually a Hindi word with Sanskrit origin. 'Jhoom' is not an Urdu word. Here, This song is in Punjabi (Subtitles in urdu), thats why they use the word. The word is used in India way more often than in Pakistan. Here, "Tu Jhoom" mean "you should dance in blissfulness" or "just be blissful, and dance". This song is of so much value, because this song reflect Indian Culture way better than most modern Indian song. Punjabi is still the most spoken launguage in Pakistan and not Urdu. Being an Indian. This is single-handedly the best coke-studio song, with a perfect representation of Both Music and spritual culture of the Subcontinent.
Urdu is a very beautiful language, made up of many words from Sanskrit, Turkish, Persian, and Arabic. The word "Urdu" itself means "army" and comes from the Turkish language, where it also means "army." In Pakistan, Urdu is spoken in schools, colleges, and homes. Every Punjabi, Saraiki, and Balochi understands Urdu. From what I have heard, most Hindi songs are actually in Urdu. Even the Indian legend Lata Mangeshkar once said that people should learn Urdu because it is such a lovely language. She also mentioned that today’s Hindi songs are ruining the beauty of Urdu.
Glad to see you enjoying this. On on the male end, we have the pillar of Sufi/Qawalli music in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (NFAK), but on the female end, Abida Parveen comes very close and is definitely an amazing talent who truly is a leader in her own right, perhaps even better than NFAK. On the other hand, she's also incredibly shy, and very reserved as a personality so it's very hard to find her doing interviews, or movies etc even though she's been offered plenty of opportunities. I highly recommend you listen to Chaap Tillak by Coke Studios which features her and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and man, it is truly a remarkable listen.
Me and my mom really enjoy your reaction videos. This song is more towards sufism. Especially when they say "Tu Jhoom", they're basically saying you should forget the worldly desires and let your mind set free from all the worries of the world because in the end none of the worldly things would matter so yeah TU JHOOM.
You should listen to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Afreen also a coke studio production. You've certainly developed the taste you'll surely enjoy it. Btw love how you give your insights clearly shows you're aware of what you're doing. Keep it up!
Seating arrangement of Singers is called "Masnad" . Love your explaination of music and U understood most of the lyrics which are an exceptional master piece by another singer from same Coke STudio Season. Let me know if u know who wrote the lyrics
Loved your reactions I have seen all of them in a night. My recommendation is a coke studio song called ‘Ki Banu Duniya Da’ by Gurdas Man. I hope you like it
Urdu language has such deep meanings like you know the meaning you connect but you can’t explain in this kalaam( spiritual song) it contains more like spiritual words with no actual meanings
I think you have PhD in reaction videos coz reacting to each bits like instruments, dancing, videography, theme, directions, clothes, lyrics, vocals and culture and relating every bits with each others it like I'm learning to what to look for in a video .I think you should teach other video reactors how to reaction
Tu jhoom would literally translate into "you dance" as in dance in a trance, with no worries and no thoughts
I must say you genuinely react to videos not like others. You actually understands each and every bit of the song. A must share channel blessed be love ❤️
Agree 100 and 1% lost of love from pakistan ❤️❤️
