I felt impressed to play this near my mom’s ear over and over again in her final hour as she transitioned. It was mid December and I know it was a birth of sorts for her as well as sensing her longing and anticipation to meet “the King.” I look forward to knowing the backstory from her. 🌹This song and this particular rendition of it now has deep nostalgia. Thank you.

i love this song. My music teacher had me sing a solo when i was in the elementary school. i laid that song out, still love it. 50 + yrs. later. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I 'VE HEARD IT SINCE. I SING THIS SONG AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. WINTER , SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL. ONLY I SANG IT A LOT BETTER THAN THIS. LOL. FOR REAL GOD IS GOOD. I HAVE NEVER HEARD IN ALL THE BAPTIST CHURCH'S I ATTENDED. ANOTHER SONG THAT I LOVE, THAT I WANT PLAYED AT MY FUNERAL, THAT I NEVER HEAR ANYMORE. "IN THE GARDEN.! GOD IS LOVE!

I currently lead a senior choir & intend for them to sing this at the end of our Christmas program. I would love to change the ending a little as follows: And the sky was bright … with a holy light, ‘‘twas the birthday … ‘‘twas the birthday … ‘twas the birthday - of … … … OUR . . . . . . KI . . . . . . NG.
With crescendo & emphasis on the last words . . . . . “OUR KING”. . . . . . But I will get the choirs approval before I decide to implement it.
