I adore Slick Jones, he is a delight. Played to perfection. I am so sick that Luke and Laura are no more. It really feels like being cheated.

Just my two cents (lol!)...but I think Slick Jones is adorable...his character is so lovable...even though he's suppose to be a "shady character"...I love the way the writers and producers have created these characters back then....REAL folks...not glossy and fake. I love it!
Slick is a great character and I wish he could have been retained. I don't exactly buy this idea that casts have to be downsized and pushed out. Hurts people and causes bad feelings.

He comes back in a few years to play Benny the fence for a few scenes. The actor had a fabulous career before GH.

Me too. They are the reason I started watching as a young teen. The current PTB really have no clue. The women need to be relatable. Not mob whores....they need to be our moms, our sisters. They need to be inspirational...we had Les and Monica as physicians, Rose as a business owner...even Tracy as a great financial mind...and the list goes on. The women of current GH are pathetic and have been for a long time....not relatable (throwing their kids under buses to get into bed with gangsters..gag). Show really went off the rails when they stopped telling female centric stories...and worse yet made all the women in PC brain dead.
sussezq I could not possibly agree with you anymore than I already do!! Everything you have said is beyond true and the PTB need to seriously get a clue and give GH the RIGHT kind of CPR and that would def include showing Laura and Les and writing them as they once did and giving them exciting storylines that are true to the original characters that once graced our screens each day!!
Karla Mazzola I would love to know where on God's green earth they find these sorry writers. IMHO the only saving graces these days are Bobbie and Laura. Again, just my opinion. Hope I didn't offend anyone.
@@karlamazzola8898 Aah Sorry But Please Tracy started a lot of trouble with some of the Doctors at GH. She also broke-up a few marriages she constantly stuck her noise into other people’s lives. So yeah she was a financial whatever. She also had her son Ned who she put in different boarding school. She threw Ned under a lot of moving things so what the hell are we talking about. She had a head for business. But a cold heart for family... All Tracy knew was make a buck, make a buck. Plus Power,power, and lots of power, money, and her name! People with a big important names power, and lots of Money! JMVHO! Rosie out!
I stopped watching L&L shortly after their wedding and I’m glad I did from what I’m reading. GH sounds quite unappealing.
Luke's bight idea wasn't so bright. LOL I love Slick. He's great. In fact, I loved all the characters down on the docks. They were so great. They added a lot.
Leslie is so cool she was the perfect mom for Laura and she knew Laura was safe with Luke
Somebody tell Guzza to watch this scene here in 81 where Laura tells Leslie how much SHE hurt Luke last summer. Her and Luke had already gotten past the incident at the disco the summer before that. But Guzza brings one night back into the future and demolishes a legendary romance and family. Cancel culture started early for some elites.

Anyone watching in January 2022? I've been watching these old Luke and Laura playlists for the past few months and absolutely loving go back in time. I've also noticed that GH just announced that Luke is dead. Is this a ploy? Why do this? Closure? Or some other reason? I also saw where Laura and Kevin are talking and he brings up not being threatened by her past with Luke and she reassures him that he's the right guy. Is it done? Is this the end for good? I kept hoping for a Luke and Laura finish but thinking maybe it really is over. I saw where Tony Geary married his long time male partner in Amsterdam and they've been together for 30 years. I am not sure if he's bisexual or what - he has said in an interview that his relationship with Genie Francis was "as real as any relationships I've had". He also had a romantic relationship with Elizabeth Taylor. The whole thing just confuses me. I've read that bisexuality is actually real, so maybe he's bisexual. And he certainly owes us nothing if he wishes to move on. Maybe at this point it's hard to play a romantic interest in a straight role now that he's married to a man, I just wish I knew.

I loved GH in 1979-198!. Very exciting than it is now!! Laura & Luke was a wonderful couple back then and my most favorite!!!!! I sure wish they were still together on today's GH!!! Laura & Kevin are so boring!!!! Please bring Luke back and start a senior adventure for them. 😅 LOL i would love to see Robin and Patrick back on GH. My second most favorite couple!!!! I remember watching Robin when she first appeared on GH!! I think she was only 5 or 6 yrs. Old then.

atleast back when casting was really good, you could kinda relate to the charcters ot identify with them/.
The casting now is great, i couldnt imagine anyone eles playing there roles, but i think the supporting cast could be ...ummm.. more supporting.
