Heat rapping is the biggest scam to ever hit car people. You just robbed yourself of a few horsepower and you’re allowing moisture to be trapped under there like a barrier, the exhaust pipe is going to become brittle much quicker. It’s not allowing for heat dissipation, it’s literally trapping it in the exhaust system
@@sxsoutcast7651 no problem, sorry if my comment came off rude lol, that’s not how I intended it to be. But yeah after lots of experience with heat wrap and talking to one of the head guys at HMF engineering, heat rapping does more damage than it does good
@@sxsoutcast7651 if there’s any areas on the machine you’re concerned about the exhaust running close to, get some reflective heat shielding from an auto parts store that is stick on, it will do a much better job at dissipating the heat out of the back of the unit while keeping certain parts safe
@@bangingears5911 Didn't take it wrong. I watched someone else do it on video and thought it was the right thing to do. After putting more thought into it I agree with you. My mufflers get so hot that the paint/carbon stickers melted off the tips so better off unwrapping and letting the exhaust cool.

@@bangingears5911 The stock exhaust had 1 heat shield and I left it on there. I don't think it should be an issue.
