Some grammatical errors in this game are intentional for example during the mini game "Maze Quest" the errors are on purpose because loads of early Nintendo and Sega Japanese games ported for UK and USA market had grammar problems. The line from Medusa in Maze Quest "All your base are belong to us" is from Zero Wing on Megadrive/Genesis.
What this game misses for the true retro feeling is a DRM free release.

This seems like a pretty decent point and click gameplay wise. It's just a shame that it's a little let down by the writing and voice acting. But I like the visual style and it's nice that it still has some good points to it. I might pick this one up on discount, but as always, I appreciate the review.

What game is this game based on, as I remember playing a game just like it when I was a kid
I haven't played this game and don't know anything from behind the scenes but I wonder if the misspellings and bad acting are intentional attempts at nostalgia. I've been playing games since the late 80s or early 90s so I'm used to games having bad acting and especially early console games had incorrect or misspelled words usually due to translation errors.
I don't think that's the case here, at least it didn't come off that way to us!

@@IDreamofIndie Thank you. Sorry I meant new ones. I've played monkey island, maniac mansion, all of the sierra and lucasarts games, willy beamish, etc. Last games I played were Hector: Badge of Carnage on iOS which was fun and a port of Beneath a Steel Sky for iOS as well.
