first day with the E370, I am blown away by its sound, what a module!

Fantastic!, Now, tell me. What envelope are you using and what VCA? How are you controlling it, Sinfonion chord section? I have a new way to play mine = NiftyKeys.

@@moxom3854 Im using it with Sinfonion, for now Im passing it through Fumana with tons of modulations. You can see my first patch here: th-cam.com/video/icCptvuXJ44/w-d-xo.html
Niftykeys and E370 sounds like a great combo.

Thank you for the comment Neal! I appreciate you watching. Yes, Paul has created a wonderful device here and I am super fortunate to have one. I works very well for the chord section of the Sinfonion and sounds really amazing through the Vermona Twin Filter. Cheers!

Thanks for this and your channel. I’m enjoying the mysteries of the e370 in my system.

Thank you for watching Neil. I will make some new E370 videos now that I have a bit more experience under my belt. Thank you for the encouragement.

Thanks for the encouragement Jammy! It will fuel more videos. I really believe the Sinfonion should be the first module to consider and purchase as a centerpiece of control for serious modular workstations (from the perspective of a non-musically trained modular noob). I still find this all a bit challenging but am slowly learning more and will continue to share as I go. Hopefully this is helpful for you and others. Cheers!

I had the same idea after getting sinfonion. Boom!

FYI, this sounds absolutely lush on a Vermona TwinVCFilter. Just acquired one last week. Cheers

did you end up going that route?

Great video. I am currently looking for a multi Oscillator to feed my new Harmonaig. I was thinking about the Erika, although is "only" 3 Oscillators. But your 370 Video is really great and i keep an eye on the 370. The size is no
problem for me, but the price :-)

Thank you Res for the positive feedback! I really like the E370 also. The price is certainly steep, but fortunately, I had collected a medium size collection of tabletop synths and workstations that I sold all at the same time to upgrade over to Eurorack format. Cheers!

      Acid Rain Chainsaw is a good 3 voice Oscillator ( I have 2 + the E370 )

is it safe putting your patch cabled behind the modules and then back out? I mean for interference or something? No fire hazard I'm sure....

    • @moxom3854
      @moxom3854  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I am absolutely positive that what I am doing with my cables is, in fact, a terrible idea! HA. I do not recommend that anyone behaves in this manner with their expensive Eurorack equipment. I would not be surprised if the cables picked up some sort of interference from the transformers in the power supplies, but for me, the ends justify the means. If you have gone through the gauntlet of watching one of the full video series where I setup the rig from start to finish, you will see that it is pretty time consuming and brutal to the mods, case, cables, etc. I have only identified about three or four failing cables in this first year, however I can not rule out Nika the cat stabbing or gnawing them do death when I was not paying close enough attention. Cheers Gilbert!

The only thing I don't like about my E352 so far, is it seems like there is a huge range of knob positions that are totally useless audibly. Enough that a person could be forgiven for thinking there was something wrong with the module. But the useful range does sound amazing. That or there actually IS something wrong with mine.

Interesting. This made me look at the Cloud Terrarium for the first time since actually purchasing the E370. I am surprised that it is two osc, but only one 1v/Oct input. So the first top knobs are tuning and the third is for the FM, so that would need an external input to do anything. The other three knobs on row two are assignable, so you would need to assign them to things to get them active. on the E370 channels (4 of them) I have one knob that seems to detune each channels Osc's and the next knob changes or sweeps through the wavetable I have loaded. The third knob controls how much external CV is controlling the movement through the wavetable, automating the waveform change. So, if you are not hearing much change, you may want to goto the menu and change what knob is effecting what inside the device. Maybe this helps or maybe the E352 and E370 are that much different from each other functionally. Anyway, thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate you for doing this and hope you have happy knob twisting!

@@moxom3854 It's not an issue with the knob not being assigned. I find large ranges of knob rotation in various modes that result in no useful sounds. I believe it's simply a case of the wavetable in use. And me being a newb. But as a newb it's a frustration. And I got it used, so that's an extra element making me distrust when things act strangely.

Have you downloaded some new wavetables for your synth yet? I usually prefer to just use the cloud setting with saw waves and detune about 1/3.
